This is my 6th climb to date. Mt. Batulao is located in Nasugbu Batangas, from Manila, it will take you about 1.5 to 2 hours to reach the town of Nasugbu via Aguinaldo Hi-way and Tagaytay. With me are my Sosyal Klaymer friends - Ayie, Ed and Ricky, As well as the Bomba Boys - Harold, Lucky, RV, Bal, Jinnor, Nap, Dimz, Jaoei (GF of Dimz) and Sheng (wife of RV).
From Evercrest Golf Club Resorts, take a tricycle to bring you to a point where all you can do is walk. Hehehe! So, we officially started our climb at around 10:30 AM.
The original plan is to take the new trail going to the summit, but we decided to take the old trail instead.
This is the climb na may pinakamaraming lugar para magpahinga. Almost every 20 minutes eh may place na pwede kang sumilong para maupo at magpahinga.
Kung ang Mt. Manabu ay may mga stations, dito ay may camps, from 1 to 10. So, after about 1 hour or so, we reached camp 1, the most beautiful camp of all the camps. May toilet dito at souvenir shop, at syempre may tindahan din.
Syempre, while we do our trekking, hindi mawawala ang picture-taking. Ang daming mga nice view of the mountain's peak na picture perfect talaga. Mapapalampas ba namin yun? Hehehe!
We have decided to set up our tents at Camp 7. But you have to pass thru the part where there is a very steep slope with unstable rocks before reaching it.
At exactly 1:00 PM, we reached Camp 7. We unpacked our things and set up our tents. Ayie prepared our lunch/dinner - Chicken Pork Adobo ala Batulao with the sticky rice... Hehehe!!! Ang sarap in fairness...
After the lunch slash dinner, Ayie, Ed, Ricky and I decided to climb the summit located at Camp 10, in time for the sunset. Akala ko, yung pag-akyat sa camp 7 na yung pinakamahirap, but wait there's more... I met up with Ayie and Ed sa Camp 8, di ako nagkamali na umakyat... a very spectacular view await us.
Pagbalik nila, sabay-sabay na kami bumaba sa Camp 7, we clean up ourselves and had some crab soup prepared by Nap. Thanks Nap! At usual, we had the drinking sessions and the bonding moments at night.
It took us around 2 hours or less for our descent. Ligo, linis, konting kain sa mga tindahan sa tapat ng Everecrest before we decided to go to Tagaytay and have a taste of their famous bulalo for lunch.
Another mountain conquered. More to go!

ReplyDeletefor weekend climb i recommend Mt. Natib in Orani, Bataan.
