Quezon - Borawan and Dampalitan Beaches in Padre Burgos Quezon - October 24, 2010

Indeed, there’s so much to explore in our country, and the beaches would be on top of my list.

Benj and I, decided to spend a beach bumming weekend in the not so famous but very beautiful beaches of Quezon Province. Our first stop is the Borawan and Dampalitan beaches in the town of Padre Burgos.

How to get to Borawan and Dampalitan Beaches:

From Jac Liner Terminal in Buendia, take a bus going to Lucena Grand Terminal. Fare is 220 pesos each, travel time is around 3 hours for a night trip.

Lucena Grand Terminal @ around 3:00 AM

Look for the bus bound for Unisan and get off at Brgy. Marao in the town of Padre Burgos. Fare is 35 pesos each, travel time is around 45 minutes.

That's the bus. We're now at Brgy. Marao

Look for Vista Playa Restaurant where you can rent a boat that will take you to Borawan and Dampalitan beaches. Boat rental depends on how many passengers and the number of beaches you want to visit, ours is 600 pesos for two, for the two beaches.

From the restaurant, it will take you 10-15 minutes going to Borawan beach.

Travel Guide : Lakbayan Tourism Exhibit @ Mall of Asia

There is an on-going Lakbayan Tourism Exhibit at SM Mall of Asia that showcases the different tourist spots in the Philippines. It is being presented by Ang Pambansang T-Shirt, Yes Tourism, SM Kultura and BigShift. Launched last October 17, 2010, it will run until October 27th.

As I was killing some time last Wednesday, I was able to take a glimpse of the said exhibit.

You can get here some travel tips on what to do and where to go on your next vacation. Check out the tree with "personal travel guide cards" that contains travel tips shared by some visitors of the exhibit.

Tarlac - 10.10.10 Weekend in Tarlac

Together with a friend, we went on a weekend getaway to Tarlac. His father hails from Tarlac and he knows some places to visit there. This is my second time to roam around the province. The last time I was here was when I climbed Mt. Pinatubo with my friends way back in 2008. I was so excited as we have planned to eat at ISDAAN in Gerona Tarlac and do side trips in Tarlac City and Paniqui.

We met at around 6:00 AM to avoid the heavy congestion of people joining the 10.10.10 Run for Pasig River that morning. Good thing we didn't get stuck in heavy traffic. At 7:00 AM, we took a bus bound for Dagupan via Victory Liner in Cubao. Fare is 177 pesos each from Cubao to Tarlac City.

By 10:00 AM, we reached Tarlac City. We got off at Metro Town Mall and took a tricycle going to Tarlac Capitol, fare is 30 pesos/tricycle. Took some pictures as souvenirs and appreciated it's old-style design.

Metro Manila - My Galleon Andalucia Experience - October 9, 2010

The Galleon Andalucia

The Galleon Andalucia is a replica of the 17th century Spanish galleon that plied the Manila-Acapulco route centuries ago. It arrived in Port Area Manila last October 6, 2010 as part of Dia del Galleon Festival 2010.

The Galleon Andalucia reminds us of our history that we are once part of the Galleon trade of Europe, the America's, and Africa.

A vast number of people flocked to the port area to have a glimpse of the galleon. Of course, I will not let this oppurtunity to pass.

Things To Do in Naga City, Tourist Spots, Attractions and DIY Itinerary

Looking for top best Things To Do in Naga City, Tourist Spots, Attractions and DIY Itinerary?

From Legazpi, I went to Naga City to meet up with my MBA friends. Clarice, Marvin, Sir Don and Ate Pinky were already in Camsur the previous day; they had a great Caramoan Adventure that I wasn't able to join because of work. While Jamel, Clarisa and Jason just arrived that day straight from Manila. Among our group, I was the last one to arrive at Naga City. I met up with the group who came from Caramoan at SM City Naga. Then we proceeded to Moraville Hotel where we have our reservation.

At isa lang ang nasabi ko nung makita ko ang Mayon Volcano habang pa-landing na ang eroplano. "Nagkita rin tayo..."
