Pinoy Festivals: Ati-Atihan Festival 2013 Schedule of Activities

Another must-see festival in January is the Ati-atihan Festival. Celebrated in Kalibo, Aklan on the third Sunday of January in honor of the Sto. Niño. Participants paint their faces with black soot and wear colorful and extravagant costumes as they dance in revelry to the beats of the drums and other instruments. The highlight of the festival peaks during the last three days of this week-long celebration.
