Yes! I went back to Clark yesterday to witness the Philippine Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. It was just last Thursday when I had a colorful and delightful experience seeing the hot air balloons fly in the sky for the first time. Why I came back? It's for friendship's sake! My friends from high school asked me to join them. We were supposed to be 5, but when it's time for us to leave for Clark at around 3:00 AM, it was just me and Mark who showed up. Ahahaha! Anyway, we just decided to push through with the trip.
We met Mark's office mates (who gave me complimentary tickets! thanks po!) in Dau bus terminal then we proceeded to OMNI Aviation Complex. A very nice sunrise greeted us at the venue. We had breakfast before we went to the exhibition area.
Since it's a weekend, there were already a lot of spectators in the area and we weren't able to get a good spot at the fence to take photos.
Until the balloons started to fly one by one. I still felt the same excitement as I see each balloon flies. This time, I saw the big bouquet of tulips finally fly. Woohoo! :)
I am also happy to meet some members of the FUNtastic Philippines group who attended the event. It's good see these happy people who are restless in promoting Philippine tourism. Nice meeting you all!
At around 9:00 AM, we left the venue as we still need to travel back home for 3 hours more to Cavite.
We made a quick stop at the Mabalacat Arch to take photos with Mark's bike. Dacal a Salamat Pampanga! Next year ulit! :)
You could still catch the last day of the fiesta today. Click here to check on the schedule of events.
