Crystal Beach Resort Zambales, "Quiet, Simple and Charming Beach Resort in San Narciso Zambales"

If you're itching for a quick getaway or looking for beach destination near Manila, Crystal Beach Resort is one of the best resorts to go in Zambales. Just 4 hours away from the Metro, it offers nice accommodations, lovely beach suitable for surfing, great-tasting food and an array of activities to do while having an awesome beach bumming adventure in Zambales.

Located at San Narciso, Zambales, Crystal Beach Resort is an expansive beach front resort that offers several hectares of gray sand beach dotted with aguho trees with a relaxed and intimate vibe. It is a favorite destination among surfers and is one of the popular surfing spots closest to Manila.

Though Crystal Beach Resort is known among surfers, it has also gained popularity among beach lovers, weekenders and beach bums who simply just want to get a quick getaway away from the busy metropolis.

Just last month, after spending 3 days in Balanga Bataan, we went to Crystal Beach Resort for a much-needed surfing adventure.

Upon entering the resort, we were warmly welcomed by the resort's friendly staff. Since we already have a reservation, checking-in was a breeze. It only took us about 5 minutes and we were quickly assisted to our room.

Our room is named Abraham Attic which is located just a few meters away from the beach. As the name suggests, it is located in an attic with 2 single beds that has comfortable foam mattresses coupled with clean white sheets and pillows.

The room is very basic. It has a television set with cable channels, an airconditioning unit, a lamp and a veranda overlooking the beach. Though very basic, the room is clean and well organized.

My favorite part of the room are the verandas in front and at the back which gives you a very nice view of the beach. Since it was already late afternoon when we arrived, we were greeted with a stunning view of the sunset as seen from our room's veranda. It is so lovely!

The toilet and bath is located outside the room. It is also very basic but complete with hot and cold shower, water closet with bidet, bath towels and basic toiletries such as shampoo, bath soap and dental kit.

As I love watching sunsets, I quickly went to the beach and enjoyed the breathtaking view of the setting sun. I sat on one cottages and enjoyed the magical view of the sunset. As the sun drowned in the horizon, its rays fill the sky with radiant and fiery colors. I was mesmerized as the sun slowly disappeared in the horizon, it's like a painting done right in front of me. Truly amazing!

When it got totally dark, we went back to our room and prepared for dinner.

The following morning, we had the complimentary breakfast at King Solomon's Hall which is the resort's restaurant located near the reception area. Every booking comes with complimentary breakfast where you may choose from their wide selection of breakfast meals. You may also add other dishes by choosing from their menu. Every Sundays when the resort is jam-packed with weekenders, they offer buffet breakfast. I will write more about the meals we had on my next post.

The whole morning were spent just seeing things around the resort. Since we arrived late the previous day, this is our chance to really appreciate how lovely the resort is.

We also got to check on the many activities they offer. This is one of the things I love about Crystal Beach Resort. They offer a wide array of activities which makes them an ideal place for company outings and team building activities. Definitely, you will never get bored when staying inside the resort.

We planned to surf that morning before we checkout of the resort. But unfortunately, there were no waves at the time. :(

Still unsatisfied and "bitin" with our overnight stay, we decided to extend our vacation for another night. So, we went to the front desk and inquired if our room is still available . Luckily, no one was booked that night. So, we booked it and extended our stay for another night. Thanks to the resort's manager for giving us 10% discount for our room accommodation. :)

We spent the whole afternoon just enjoying the resort, walking along the beach, eating, relaxing and watching the kid surfers enjoying the waves. We were hoping that we could also surf that afternoon but the waves are too small, only the kids can ride it.

Again, we just enjoyed watching them surf while waiting for the sunset.

On our 3rd day at the resort, one of the resort's staff told us that the waves are now just perfect for us to learn surfing. Woohoo! So, the whole morning of our 3rd day in the resort was spent enjoying the beach and learning how to surf.

WIFI INTERNET CONNECTION

Free WIFI internet connection is available at the reception area and at the resort's restaurant. Connection is a bit slow but it's good enough for posting some photos on my social media accounts and replying to emails.

You may check their website at www.crystalbeach.com.ph for the updated room rates. They offer several rooms types that caters to the diverse need of its valued guests. Occupancy is dependent on the room type. Standard check-in time is at 2:00 PM and check-out time is 12:00 NN.

PARKING

If you wish to bring your car, parking will never be a problem. Wide and spacious parking area is available inside the resort.

WHAT I LIKE MOST ABOUT CRYSTAL BEACH RESORT

• Though accommodation are very basic, the rooms are clean and well-organized.
• The staff are highly commendable, they always greet you with a warm smile and sincerely help you will all your needs to assure you of a comfortable and hassle-free stay.
• The food served at the restaurant are really good and reasonably priced.
• The resort is clean and offers a wide array of activities.
• Free WIFI is available.

Overall, we had an awesome and comfortable stay at Crystal Beach Resort. With all of its amenities and facilities, a 2 night stay is still not enough for us to fully enjoy the resort. We had so much fun and we'll definitely coming back!

If you're looking for sun, surf, beach and a very nice beach resort accommodation, I highly recommend Crystal Beach Resort!

HOW TO GET TO CRYSTAL BEACH RESORT

Go to any of the following VICTORY LINER stations: Cubao, Caloocan, Pasay, and Sampaloc. Take the IBA/STA.CRUZ-bound bus and ask the bus attendant to dropped you off in San Narciso, Zambales (nearest landmark: San Sebastian Catholic Church). Fare is about 250 pesos. Once there, take a tricycle going to Crystal Beach Resort. Fare is 15.00 pesos per person.
