Gran Prix Hotel (Cubao) Quezon City is a member of the Gran Prix chain of econotels in the Philippines. It offers tourists, transients and travelers an experience of safe, clean and affordable hotel accommodation in the heart of Quezon City. They are also located in key cities such as Manila, Pasay, Tarlac, Boracay and Cebu City. I have tried their Manila and Cebu branches, so I pretty much know already what to expect at Gran Prix Hotel.
Earlier this month, I have a trip to Dagupan City scheduled at 3:00 O'clock in the morning. Since I don't want to travel from Cavite to Quezon City in the most "unwanted time" in the morning, I decided to stay in a hotel near the bus stations in Cubao. Gran Prix Hotel is located just beside Victory Liner Cubao Terminal, a perfect place to stay when catching a bus ride in Cubao.
Upon arrival at the hotel, we were warmly welcomed by the receptionist and assisted us with our booking. It was fast and efficient that it only took us about 5 minutes and we were ushered to our room at the 2nd floor.
All rooms are located at the 2nd floor so we took the stairs just behind the front desk. The hotel has a wide and well-lit hallways leading to the rooms. I like it as it gives every guest a homey vibe.
Using the electronic key card issued to us, we opened our room located at the far end of the hallway. Having an electronic key card system is very important when its comes to the guests' safety and security. Being able to sleep safe and sound at night is one of the most important things I consider when staying in a hotel. Gran Prix Hotel definitely assured me of the security I deserve with their electronic key card system, CCTV camera at the common areas and the hallways as well as with a guard on duty at the hotel's entrance.
As we entered our deluxe room, I was impressed by how everything inside the room are well organized. I like the minimalist theme, the color combination, and the little accent and details on the wall. The indirect lighting inside the room gives a very calming feel which is needed for a good night's sleep.
It has one queen-sized bed that is has the right firmness and very comfortable. It also has four fluffy pillows, clean sheets and a comforter that perfectly match it. It has side tables on both sides with a telephone and a lamp shade.
Other room amenities include an individually-controlled airconditioning unit, television set with cable channels, a dresser with mirror, cabinet, luggage rack and a telephone.
The en suite toilet and bath is spacious and clean. It has hot and cold shower, a sink and a water closet with bidet. Clean towels and toiletries such as bath soap, shampoo and dental kits were also provided.
Every booking comes with a complimentary breakfast at their restaurant also located at the 2nd floor. Unfortunately, we had to leave early in the morning the following day, so we were not able to avail our breakfast. Sayang! Hehehe!
Overall, I recommend Gran Prix Hotel Quezon city to anyone who needs a place to stay when catching a bus ride in the many bus terminals in Cubao. The staff are friendly, very helpful and ready to assist your needs. WIFI connectivity is steady, fast, reliable and best of all, it's free! The rooms are clean and really affordable.
So, if you're looking for a cheap place to stay in Cubao near the bus terminals, checkout Gran Prix Hotel (Cubao) Quezon City!
