"First of its kind live beep, instant Visa and payments card in the market"
Striving to cope with the frantic but exciting urban life in the Metro? Breezing through lines at the MRT/ LRT, ordering lunch for work via FoodPanda, shopping online at Zalora, scoring that flash airline seat sale in Philippine Airlines, booking that unique place via Airbnb - these are just some of the things that you’ll be missing out on if you don’t have a credit card.
But Filipinos can now pay for everything they can possibly need with the new PayMaya Visa card with beep. Now available at selected LRT/ MRT stations with more activation centers rolling out daily, the PayMaya Visa card with beep comes on the heels of the successful PayMaya app and card exclusively introduced to digital influencers last August.

As the first live three-in-one card on the market, PayMaya Visa card with beep allows consumers to pay for LRT / MRT fares, purchases at face-to-face store transactions, and online commerce sites - in short, in over 30 million establishments where Visa is accepted worldwide.
“While all three functions should get plenty of use, the PayMaya mobile app's instant Visa card provides the game-changing cutting edge. Previously, only the small minority of Filipinos with credit cards could participate in the digital life, but now with PayMaya, everyone can get in on the online action. The addition of beep functionality to PayMaya will now enable users to access seamless travel on the MRT/LRT.” said Paolo Azzola, Co-Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Smart eMoney and Managing Director at Rocket AG.
Now you can jump right into the digital life with PayMaya and you don’t have to succumb to the fear of missing out (#FOMO) on all the best deals. Because it brings the best of the real world with the virtual and digital, you can now celebrate all of your daily adventures with the hashtag #NoFOMO with PayMaya.
You can use your PayMaya instant virtual Visa card to hail a ride to Fort Strip (#NoFOMO), where you can pay for your dinner and drinks with the physical PayMaya card (#NoFOMO), before whisking away to Tagaytay to watch the sunrise from an AirBNB room you also booked with PayMaya (#NoFOMO). With PayMaya, you not only avoid missing out, but the world becomes your very own playground.
Introduced by Smart eMoney, Inc., the digital financial innovations unit of PLDT and Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart), the PayMaya Visa card also allows users to enjoy the same benefits of the regular contactless beep card deployed under the Automated Fare Collection System (AFCS). This means your daily commute will be a breeze (#NoFOMO!).
"As part of the PLDT group, Smart eMoney, together with Voyager Innovations, is committed to introducing innovative platforms and customer-friendly services that are powering the emerging digital economy. PayMaya Visa card with beep is the latest innovation in these intersecting spaces," said Benjie S. Fernandez, Managing Director and Co-COO at Smart eMoney as well as COO at Voyager Innovations.
As a special limited offer until the end of the year, commuters can avail of the PayMaya Visa Card with beep for FREE plus a bonus PhP30 beep stored value just by loading their PayMaya account with PhP100 in PayMaya activation booths in select MRT and LRT stations. The PayMaya app can also be downloaded in Google Play, and soon in iOS App Store.
“Because of its many impressive technical features, it’s easy to think of PayMaya as a product or platform. But I really view it - and you should too - as a ticket, one that allows you to experience a world of possibilities. I encourage you to get on board,” added Azzola.
Indeed, with PayMaya Visa card with beep, #NoFOMO is the hashtag that every modern Filipino can live by. Now you can, with PayMaya.
Download the PayMaya app now at the Google Store. For more information, please visit www.paymaya.com.

marvin abedejo
