I am a sucker for boutique hotels. Whenever I stay in a boutique hotel, there is just something extra personal, more memorable and certainly adorable about it. It's like visiting someone's home. The warm, welcome feeling and personalized services the qualities I always look forward to in a boutique hotel.
I've been wanting to stay at The Henry Hotel Manila (Check rates online) ever since it opened last year. Aside from being one of the newest boutique hotels in Manila, it is also a series of similar-looking apartment heritage houses that was converted into a hotel. And if you've been following my blog, you'll know that I also adore heritage houses.
That is why when we were invited by Deal Grocer to check out The Henry Hotel Manila using the Gift Vouchers they offer, I quickly said yes.
So, when we already have the voucher, I called The Henry Hotel Manila to book our stay. Reserving a room is fast and efficient. The reservation officer, just told me to send them an email with my preferred date of stay and a copy of the gift voucher. In less than 24 hours, we were booked in a Vintage Suite Room. Yey!
Upon arrival at the hotel, we were warmly welcomed by the hotel staff and assisted us with our booking. Since we already have our reservation, we just presented the gift voucher and after a few minutes we were given the room's key card and were ushered to our Vintage Suite Room.
Designed by world-renowned interior and furniture designer Eric Paras, The Henry Hotel's Rooms showcase mid-century interiors thoughtfully blended with modern amenities needed for a comfortable stay.
Our Vintage Suite Room has an ante room, a small private garden area, a bedroom and an en suite toilet and bath.
The bedroom has a Queen-size bed coupled with plush linens, quality comforters and fluffy pillows.
Other room amenities include two 32-inch LCD TVs with cable channels, mini-bar, safety deposit box, WiFi, wardrobe space, a free-standing bath tub, handheld and rain shower, coffee and tea making facility.
With its classic interiors, highlighted with vintage baldoza tiles and quirky furnishings, every guest will certainly feel like transported in the olden days and have a memorable stay "like no other."

Apartment 1B is The Henry Hotel Manila's in-house restaurant that offers high-end gourmet dishes. It is also where the oh-so-good buffet breakfast is served from 6:30 - 10:30 am.
During our stay, we certainly enjoyed lounging at the hotel's garden surrounded with huge old trees while lounging on the day beds and enjoying a good swim at the lovely pool.
Overall, we had a pleasant and memorable stay at The Henry Hotel Manila. The stylish rooms with hip vintage charm, scrumptious food at Apartment 1B and top-notch perzonalized service are the best qualities that set them apart from the other hotels in the country. I would definitely stay here again, soon!
