When someone asks me for suggestions on where to go for a quick weekend getaway near Metro Manila, I would always suggest Tagaytay City. Why? Because Tagaytay is just 1.5 hours away from Manila, it offers cool temperate climate, it has wide variety of dining options and a lot of nice hotels and resorts with pool, as well as budget accommodations to stay in. More to that, Tagaytay City also boasts of an array of attractions and things to do that your family and friends will surely enjoy.
One of the most regarded hotels in Tagaytay City is the historical and classy Taal Vista Hotel (Check Rates Online). Beautifully situated right at the ridge - overlooking Taal Volcano and Lake - amid lush greens and temperate climate, Taal Vista Hotel is a 261-room hotel that offers well-appointed rooms ideal for families or group of friends wanting to have an awesome and memorable Tagaytay getaway.
When I think of Tagaytay Hotels, first thing that comes to mind would Taal Vista Hotel. Being one of the very first hotels in the city, it has gained its reputation to be one of the best hotels in Tagaytay and a favorite amonng families visiting Tagaytay.
Last month, I am back at Taal Vista Hotel for a much-needed staycation with friends. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were warmly welcomed by the sweet smiles of their lovely hotel staff.
We then proceeded to the check-in counter. Since we already have prior reservation, checking-in was quick and efficient. It only took about 5 minutes and we were given our room's key cards.
Premier Queen Room
Our room is a Premier Queen Room located at the 4th floor of the hotel's Lake View Wing. It is a 30-sqm well-appointed room equipped with all the amenities and room facilities needed for a comfortable stay. It has one (1) queen-sized bed and one (1) single-sized bed coupled with quality linens, comforters and fluffy pillows. It is also equipped with top-notch amenities designed to meet the most discriminating taste of its guests. Room amenities include a private veranda, an en suite toilet and bath, television set with cable channels, night lamps, telephone unit, a cabinet, electronic safety deposit box, working desk with mirror, and a mini bar with a personal refrigerator, complimentary drinking water and tea & coffee making equipment. Also included are exclusive in-room amenities such as premium teas and selection of non-alcoholic beverage as complimentary treats.
As I checked on the toilet and bath, I was impressed at how organized and clean it is. It has a separate toilet and walk-in shower area with hot and cold rain shower features. There's also a clean water closet (unfortunately, no bidet spray), clothes hanging area, and a lavatory with huge mirror.
The toilet and bath is also complete with clean and fluffy bath and hand towels as well as quality toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, bath soap, body wash, body lotion, vanity and dental care kits. I love it! This is indeed an haven for those who spend a lot of time in the bathroom.
What I love most about our room is its private veranda with a view of Sky Ranch Tagaytay, the hotel's courtyard and the lovely Taal Volcano and Lake. This is where we spent most of our time enjoying the breathtaking views while sipping on hot coffee.
