On June 12, 2016, our country will be celebrating the Philippines' 118th Independence Day. Part of the celebration will be the launch of the Rizal Park Lights and Sounds Show which is a project of the Department of Tourism. The highlight is the Rizal Monument, where our National hero Dr. Jose Rizal lies as it will be seen in a different light starting June 12th with a lights and shoun show recounting some of the important chapters of our national hero's life.
Through the invitation of Optimum Show who created the lights and sound show, I was able to have a "sneak peek" of what to expect at the nightly shows that can be seen at the Rizal Monument starting June 12, 2016.

It will be a brilliant display of lights and interplay of colors accompanied by music that everyone will surely love. And it’s absolutely free! So, be sure to visit Rizal Park on June 12th at around 6:00 PM onwards and watch history come alive in a new light!
If you missed it on June 12th, you can still catch it every night at the Rizal Park as the lights and sounds show will be a permanent installation at the park.
This is just one of the newest things to do in Luneta Park. Don't forget to take photos and videos of this grand display of lights and sounds at the Rizal Monument and let's showcase to the world that Independence Day celebrations are also more fun in the Philippines!
