Comfortable and Relaxing Stay at Hotel 101 Manila

Nowadays, staying in the city has been a popular vacation option among city dwellers and weekend warriors. You don't have to travel far away from the city to enjoy a memorable vacation, thus making "hotel staycations" a popular weekend activity. With the many hotels around Metro Manila, the question now is where is the best place to stay in the city? Let me share to you one of my recent staycations in Metro Manila.

Just 2 weeks ago, we stayed at Hotel 101 Manila (Check room rates online) because we wanted to have a place to stay for an event we are attending in Manila as well as for our very early morning flight to Boracay. The best thing about Hotel 101 is that, if you're catching a flight or you just want to have a quick rest after a long flight, its convenient location is just a few minutes away from and to Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) terminals.

Hotel 101 Manila is one of the newest addition to the growing list of hotels in the SM Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City. Being just across SM Mall of Asia, it promises to provide its guests with the best of the city's attractions as well as being near to Metro Manila's business and leisure destinations.

Upon arrival at the hotel, we were warmly welcomed by their staff and greeted us with sweet smiles. As we enter the lobby, I was instantly impressed with its minimal and clean interiors. It is well-lit and spacious with couches where guests could sit while waiting for check-in or check-out.

Checking-in was fast and efficient. After only about 5 minutes, the key cards to our room were handed to us and we were ushered to our room which is located at the 6th floor.

Happy Room

Our room is a well-appointed "Happy Room" (Check room rates online) fitted with awesome amenities needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Layered with minimalist designs, astonishing layout with the right spaces, and exquisite facilities that surely brings out the feeling of "home." Yes, home. Hotel 101 Manila assures you to feel so safe and secure, with the comfort and feeling of just like "home."

As we entered the room, I was impressed at how clean it is and how everything inside are well-organized. I like the minimalist theme, the color combination, and the room's "happy ambiance" that will let you feel the vibe of being at home.

With guests' comfort in mind, every room at Hotel 101 Manila has one double bed and one single bed, both complemented with clean white sheets, plush comforters and very fluffy pillows. I quickly tried it and it really feels comfortable and ideal for a good night's sleep.

Room Amenities

Other room amenities include an en suite toilet and bath, an individually-controlled and silent air-conditioning unit, huge television set (like the one you see in luxury hotels) with cable channels, a work desk, safety deposit box, a cabinet, a kitchenette with sink and microwave oven, personal refrigerator with complimentary bottled water and a tea and coffee-making equipment.

Toilet and Bath

As I checked the toilet and bath, I was impressed! There's a clean water closet with bidet spray, a separate shower area with hot & cold shower feature and a sink with mirror. The area is a bit small but it is well-maintained, clean and well-lit.


Clean bath towels, slippers, bathrobes and quality toiletries such as bath soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, and dental and vanity kits were also provided. I couldn't ask for more, I'm happy with all these much-needed amenities needed for a comfortable stay.

Hotel 101 Manila is definitely the perfect place of stay for travelers seeking charm, comfort, and convenience in Pasay City.

Swimming Pool

One of the nicest features of Hotel 101 Manila is their lovely outdoor swimming pool located at the 2nd floor. It has one huge adult pool, a mini kiddie pool and a Jacuzzi. The best part is, it opens to the famous Manila Bay sunset.

Open from 06:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily, this is the perfect place to chill and have a good swim or just to lounge while sipping a good cup of coffee and to read a book while enjoying your stay. It also has daybeds as well as cozy chairs and tables catering to the guests' need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Don't miss spending time at their swimming pool when staying at Hotel 101 Manila!

Complimentary Breakfast

Every booking comes with a complimentary buffet breakfast served at their in-house restaurant called Paesano. Located at the ground floor, I love how spacious and organized their restaurant is. It has a lot of tables that can comfortably accommodate 150 guests and non-guests who wish to dine at their restaurant.

During our stay, the buffet is composed of Breads, Soup, Salad, Garlic and Plain Rice, Scrambled Eggs, Veggies, Tuna, Sausages and Chicken Adobo. All dishes are really good and very flavorful!

Though the buffet spread is limited, all the dishes including the desserts really tastes good. Free flowing brewed coffee and juice are also available.

Internet Connection

Complimentary WIFI internet connection is available anywhere in the hotel. Connection is fast, stable and reliable. For someone who always needs to be online, this is really an awesome treat!
