No doubt, Tagaytay is one of the most accessible and top weekend destinations near Metro Manila. The cool weather, sumptuous food offerings and the wide array of things to do makes me want to visit it again and again. Just the thought of spending a weekend in Tagaytay always makes me feel excited. And guess what?! just two weeks ago, we spent 2 nights in one of Tagaytay's most charming hotels - The Lake Hotel Tagaytay.

Located along Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo Highway, The Lake Hotel Tagaytay makes an easy access to and from the city's recreation and gastronomic destinations. Ranked as one of TripAdvisor's top 10 hotels in Tagaytay City, The Lake Hotel Tagaytay boasts of having one of the best vantage points to witness stunning views of the Taal Volcano and Taal Lake.

Upon arrival at The Lake Hotel, we were warmly welcomed by the hotel staff, greeted us with sweet smiles and assisted us with our booking. Since we already have a reservation, checking-in was fast and efficient; it only took about 5 minutes and we were ushered to our room by their friendly staff.

Junior Suite

Our room is a luxurious Junior Suite Room which is ideal for couples and families looking for a charming hotel in Tagaytay City. An ideal retreat from the hustle and bustle of the Metropolis, our room is highlighted with a king-size bed complemented with clean white sheets, thick comforter and fluffy pillows.

Designed with guests' comfort in mind, other much-needed room amenities include an en suite toilet and bath, airconditioning unit, a lazy boy, a huge television set with cable channels, cabinet, safety deposit box, telephone, work desk, luggage rack, personal refrigerator, coffee maker, and a mini bar with complimentary coffee and bottled water.

It also has a private veranda with 180 degree view of Taal Volcano and Lake. This is one of my favorite parts of our suite room where we spent most of our time just hanging around while sipping a good cup of coffee, savoring the cold weather, and enjoying breathtaking views. The Lake Hotel is definitely on of the best Tagaytay Hotels that offers this stunning view!

When I sneaked into the toilet and bath, I was impressed! It is spacious, clean and well-lit. It has a clean water closet with bidet spray, a walk-in shower area with hot and cold shower, a sink, and a Jacuzzi.

Toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, bath gel, body lotion, vanity and dental care kits and clean towels were also provided. What else can I ask for? I loved it!

That's a spacious luxury for tired city folks to stay-in. Certainly, staying at the Junior Suite Room will assure you a most restful night's sleep.

Buffet Breakfast

Every booking at The Lake Hotel Tagaytay comes with complimentary breakfast buffet served at the hotel's in-house all-day dining restaurant. The buffet breakfast is composed of several well-selected and flavorful local and international dishes. There are different meat, fish, chicken and vegetables dishes to choose from. There's also a variety of breads, pastries and fresh fruits for desserts.

The dishes change everyday, so even if you're staying for more than 1 night (just like us), you won't get bored with The Lake Hotel's buffet breakfast because there's always something new to look forward to every morning. It's such a great way to start up our day.

WIFI Internet Connection

For someone who needs to be always connected to the internet, the complimentary WIFI internet access they provide is fast and reliable. I love it because I could still browse the internet or update my social media account as I stay connected anywhere in the hotel.

Food & Beverage Services

The Lake Hotel Tagaytay has an in-house restaurant called Lake Café Restaurant. It is 24–hour restaurant and coffee shop that offers a wide variety of local and international cuisines, vegetarian specialties, delectable pastries, unique concoctions of drinks, while guests enjoy a breathtaking view of Taal Lake and Volcano. During our stay, The Lake Hotel Tagaytay's restaurant treated us with their sumptuous and delectable menu of cuisines from breakfast, lunch to dinner.

Swimming Pool

The Lake Hotel has 2 swimming pools. One an infinity pool located near the restaurant, which affords a panoramic view of the lake and Taal volcano. The other one is an indoor pool located inside the recreational building. The infinity pool is the perfect spot to relax, read a book and enjoy the hotel's luxe holiday feel while savoring your vacation in Tagaytay City.

For celebrations, families and friends could book one of their KTV rooms and enjoy singing over some good food and a few bottles of beer.
