TripAdvisor's Top Hotels and Resorts with Pools in Tagaytay City
I listed here some of the top rated Hotels in Tagaytay City as listed by Tripadvisor. I also included here some guests' comments for your reference. This could help you decide whether to book or not at these hotels and resorts.Joaquin's Bed and Breakfast
Address: Km. 58 Aquinaldo Highway, Tagaytay CityGuest's Comment: This hotel in Tagaytay has a rating of 4.0 in Tripadvisor where 46% rated it as "Very Good" and 39% rated it as "Excellent." One guest comment caught my attention when I checked it on Tripadvisor:
"We booked one of the deluxe rooms with the mini garden. They were easy to communicate with through email and check-in was a breeze. We were also already asked what breakfast meal we wanted and what time it will be served. The lobby and restaurant looked rustic and charming. We had to walk a few flights down to our room, which was at the end of the row of garden rooms.
The room itself was very quaint, it also had the rustic feel of the rest of the place. It has a cabinet with the kettle, coffee, water, wine glasses, and mini fridge, which also had beer and soda. They also offer wine along with those drinks. I thought the drinks were also reasonably priced, but it's sans local tax so you have to add up too. There's also a closet and a small dresser, which was convenient. Wifi is available but wonky.
The room had cute decor, magazines, a seating area, and TV. The aircon worked fine. The linens all smelled fresh and clean. The bed is big and super comfortable! It was set a bit high though, and the wooden floor could be slippery when you get off the bed. The floor boards around the bed creaked as well, so it could get noisy.
The bathroom is not too small, although the fixtures could use upgrading. We also got complete amenities like towels, bath gel, shampoo, and dental kits, as well as bedrooms slippers. Hot shower run fine and water pressure was good.
The mini garden was a delight. There was a seating area as well and it had a good view of Taal. It's shared by the three rooms on the floor but the seating areas are separated by walls, which blocked you from your neighbors' view. We had our breakfast there the next morning, which was served a little before our desired time of 8am. It was a lovely spread with good servings as well as brewed coffee and a fruit platter.
The B&B is a short drive away from the row of restaurants just before Mahogany Drive, which is convenient. It's also near Mahogany Market. It's quiet even though it's right off the main thoroughfare. Service was warm and friendly. Will recommend this place and probably stay here again."

The Carmelence Lodge
Address: Villa Carmelence 3 Tagaytay-Nasugbu Rd, Tagaytay CityGuest's Comments on Tripadvisor:
I was just surprised by this Lodge in Tagaytay. Location-wise, it is near the Summit Ridge on which you canbuy basic necessities and have a coffee in Starbucks and it is also just 2 stones away from the Sky Ranch. The exterior is just so awesome but the interior is just so classic. It is very clean and classy. The tapa breakfast is yummy. I was just surprised by this property and hopefully stay here again soon. Highly recommended for long staying guest as the rooms are good and beds are comfy! -kajfrancisco
View Park Hotel
Address: 3500 Calamba Road, Sungay - East, TagaytayGuest's Comments on Tripadvisor:
"This hotel has the most hospitable and helpful staff ever. From receptionist during check in, up to security guards who helped us all the way, everyone offered a great impression of hotel.
It was a sudden trip with my family. We checked first the nearby hotels of Tagaytay but they were all fully booked. Fortunately, I were able to contact my friend who happened to be part of hotel's friendly team. Only 2 rooms left, a too small room and vice versa. No available room enough for us (6 adults and 1 baby). We booked the bigger room with 5 double decks instead (it can accommodate 10 persons! Lol)
We slept comfortably. Room has complete toiletries and a television with small veranda but no refrigerator. Food (breakfast) is beyond good. The facilities were amazing! I think, this hotel is trying to catch a millenial-friendly look especially for an IG-worthy pictures.
Nice experience, friendly staff and great value for money. Good job!" -Audrey T
Keni Po
Address: 110 Calamba Road, Sungay West, TagaytayGuest's Comments on Tripadvisor:
"This is a very nice and cozy budget hotel in tagaytay. Specially for unplanned un-budgeted last miniute vacations, just because. I have stayed here atleast 2 times, but everytime we want to have a mini vacay in tags we go straight to this hotel unfortunately its ALWAYS fully booked. Piece of advise, call in advance, reserve the room. Always get the ones with the terrace or you wont fully enjoy the facilities.
Also, they have a pool, unfortunately its too cold me to enjoy it." -jamilitaldita
Our Melting Pot Hostel
Address: 75 Smokey Hill Drive, Maharlika East, TagaytayGuest's Comments on Tripadvisor:
"Stayed for a night with friends. We reserved the Ensuite room with private t&b. The place is really quiet and we had a great night's rest. Everything is basic and simple. Bed, bedsheets and towels are clean. Bathroom floor is also clean. My friends and I decided to go back to this place, their staff are so friendly and the location is just a few meters walk to our favorite place Rowena's Cafe inside the Cliffhouse area and the Charito by Bag of Beans.
Location: Just across The Cliffhouse and the Lake. This is about 1-2 blocks away from Magallanes Drive. If you're coming from the Tagaytay jeepney terminal/Market, take any jeep going to Sky Ranch or will pass by the Cliffhouse. Tell driver to drop you off Maharlika St or in front of The Lake.
OMP (our Melting Pot) is tucked inside a quiet village/street of Maharlika. You'll have to walk a few meters from the main Highway to the Hostel. can be easily located because they are situated around the corner of the street - light blue color house.
Accommodation: We stayed in a room with private room. Double bed with an extra bed for 350. To be honest, we just slept on the double bed because it's huge enough for just 2. Towels are provided. No soap/toothpaste/shampoo but they provide tissue in the bathroom. Breakfast is included in the room rate - which is surprising because it's cheap enough as it is. Breakfast is better than any other backpacker's hostel I've been to (even hostels from other countries)- they offer bread, coffee and your choice of spread (peanut butter, cheese, coco jam) and oatmeal.
Price: Room with private bathroom is 1,050 and additional person for 350. Total of 1400 for 3 people so basically paid 470/per person (breakfast included) .
Staff: They are accommodating and friendly. They are also helpful in locating certain sights/restaurants in Tagaytay. Will help as much as they can. One of the reasons we want to go back here. :)
If you're a comfort traveller expecting a luxurious place to stay or if you don't like walking a lot, don't stay here. Your expectations should match the price you're paying. For a night stay with breakfast below 500, I think this is an awesome deal. :)" -yasameen_desu
Lee Boutique Hotel
Address:Tagaytay-Calamba Road, TagaytayGuest's Comments on Tripadvisor:
"The hotel is located near starbucks, it is just walking distance so anytime you want to hang out, you can just walk over there. The bus station is just 1 km away so for those who are using the public transportation like us, it is quite convenient. There are also a lot of restaurants nearby, just 1 very short jeepney or tricycle ride away. Pasalubong stores are also accessible just few minutes ride from the hotel. We also went to the Mahogany Market to try the famous bulalo, we take 2 jeepney ride to reach it but it was an easy ride. We recommend this hotel if you are looking for a nice hotel that is in a convenient and central location. The staff are very nice to help us with instruction on how to go around." -lesterjohnsalvino
The Windy Ridge Hotel
Address: Tagaytay Rotonda, Brgy. San Jose, Tagaytay CityGuest's Comments on Tripadvisor:
"Spending a weekend vacation on tagaytay, my friend recommended this Windy Ridge hotel. Smack right in the heart of the City, it has a wonderful view of taal lake and volcano... the crew were too class so with the suite rooms where we stayed. Two couples and a child was really perfect for the nostalgic lobby and dining area. They even had a piano for romantic songs." -manuel r
"Stayed for 2 nights (room R), and had a great time.
Staff are nice, rooms are clean and still look new. Location is nice, situated along a hill. Didn't hear traffic noise from the veranda, or even in the room. Breakfast is just OK, but is complete. You get your bread, rice + hotdog or local tocino, fruits and coffee. And the place being commuter friendly (came to Tagaytay without a car) is a great plus too." -BrunoSardine
