Undoubtedly, Anilao in Mabini, Batangas is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the Philippines. Being one of the "best diving sites in the country," Anilao offers a wide array of exciting water activities and has numerous high-quality beach resorts, top-notch hotels, guest/pension houses and inns for you to stay in. Be it a high-end hotel or beach resort, a mid-range pension house or a backpacker's inn, you'll definitely find one that will suit your specific budget and needs when planning a trip to Anilao, Mabini Batangas.
Being half Batangueño, the Province of Batangas has always been one of my favorite destinations whenever I want to have a quick weekend getaway near Metro Manila. Summer most certainly won't be complete without a visit to one of the beaches in Batangas. That is why, when Eagle Point Beach and Dive Resort invited to experience their resort, I quickly said yes.
The beaches of Anilao has always been one my favorite beaches near Manila. I'v been here several times, that I already lost count of how many times I've been here.
Anilao is where most people go to learn how to dive since the 1960's. Many also believe that this it is where scuba diving originated in the Philippines. But Anilao is not all about scuba diving. If you're not a diver, you can always just chill at the beach, snorkeling, kayaking, or go island hopping in the several tiny islands and islets surrounding the area. Being one of the beaches near Metro Manila and with its popularity among local and foreign tourists, Anilao offers a lot of resorts and hotels along its shoreline to make your stay a lot more fun and convenient - one of them is Eagle Point Beach and Dive Resort.
Eagle Point Beach and Dive Resort
Upon arrival at Eagle Point Beach and Dive Resort, we were hospitably welcomed by the resort's staff, greeted us with warm smiles, and assisted us with our booking. Checking-in was quick; it only took about 5 minutes to check-in. The staff then gave us our room key and we were accompanied to our room at one side of the resort near the swimming pool.
Anilao Batangas Terrace Hotel
Our room is located at the resort's Anilao Batangas Terrace Hotel. It is spacious and well-appointed Mediterranean-inspired deluxe room with a touch of Filipino interiors. It is highlighted with two double beds and equipped with essential amenities needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay.
The beds are soft and comfortable. It has clean white sheets, fluffy pillows and thick comforters. I quickly tried it and my back loves it! Very relaxing!
Other essential amenities include an en suite toilet and bath, television set with cable channels, work desk, luggage rack, cabinets, a mini bar with complimentary bottled water, and a personal refrigerator.
The en suite toilet and bath is also spacious, clean, and well-organized. It has a separate shower area with hot and cold shower and excellent water pressure, clean water closet with bidet spray and a sink with mirror. Toiletries such as shampoo and bath soap were provided. Fresh and clean bath towels were also provided for guests' comfort. What else can I ask for? Almost everything we need are here.
At one side of our room is a full-length glass window with sliding doors leading to a private veranda and can also be opened to let the sea breeze in. This is one of our most favorite parts of the room where we spent most of our time just hanging around while sipping a good cup of coffee and enjoying the stunning view of the beach. It is also one of the best spots to watch the sunset. We certainly loved it!
Eagle's Nest Bar and Restaurant
During our 3 days/2 nights stay, Eagle Point Beach Resort's Eagle's Nest Bar and Restaurant spoiled us with their sumptuous and delectable menu of local and international cuisines from breakfast to dinner.
The restaurant's interiors were built with traditional and modern elements, inspired by the design and purpose of the Samoan Longhouse. It is so lovely! Here, every guest could enjoy a hearty meal by the window overlooking the breathtaking and stunning view of Anilao Bay.

The buffet breakfast that comes with every booking at the resort is served at Eagle's Nest Bar and Restaurant from 7:00 am to 10:00 am.
