Somerset Olympia Makati, "A home away from home in Makati City"

Earlier this month, we were invited by our friends from Somerset Serviced Residences to have a 2-night staycation at one of their properties in Makati Central Business District, - Somerset Olympia Makati. Located along the bustling Makati Avenue and just across Ayala Triangle Gardens, Somerset Olympia Makati is near the city's business, commercial and entertainment districts. Restaurants, fast food chains, shopping malls, convenience stores, parks and museums are also just a few strides away. Being at the heart of the city, Somerset Olympia Makati makes an ideal place to stay for business business or leisure travelers.

Upon arrival at Somerset Olympia, we were hospitably welcomed by the hotel staff and greeted us with warm smiles. Since we already have a reservation, checking-in was a breeze. It only took us about 5 minutes, and we were checked-in.

One-Bedroom Deluxe

Our booked unit is a One-Bedroom Deluxe Unit equipped with all the essential amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Upon entering the unit, I was impressed by the huge space that welcomed us. It has a separate living and dining spaces, a bedroom, and a kitchen fitted with modern appliances, cooking equipment, and eating utensils.

It also has an LCD television set with cable channels, an entertainment system, sofa and dining table, and an individually controlled airconditioning unit.

The bedroom is also equally spacious. It is highlighted with a king-size bed coupled with clean white sheet, plush comforter, and pluffy pillows.

Other room amenities include an en suite toilet and bath, an LCD television set with cable channels, cabinets, safety deposit box, luggage rack, wireless telephone. an airconditioning unit, and a work desk. Complimentary WiFi internet access and daily housekeeping are also available.

What I like most is the room's floor-to-ceiling windows that affords a breathtaking view of the city and the Bonifacio Global City Skyline.

The toilet and bath is clean, well-lit, and organized. It has clean water closet with bidet spray, a sink with mirror, a bath tub and shower area.

Toiletries such as shampoo, liquid and bath soap, lotion, vanity and dental care kits were provided. Clean bath and hand towels were also provided for guests' comfort and convenience. What else can I ask for? All we need for a comfortable stay are here!

Old Swiss Inn

Every booking at Somerset Olympia comes with complimentary breakfast for two at their partner-restaurant, Old Swiss Inn. The breakfast is composed of a mini buffet with salads, pasta, cereals, breads, and soup. Included in the breakfast is a menu of al carte meals where you could order your choice of set breakfast - from pancakes, to glazed ham, daing na bangus, and the all-time favorite beef tapa. I like it because it assures you that your meal will be served hot and freshly prepared. Breakfast is served from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

When staying at Somerset Olympia Makati, getting hungry any time of the day is not a problem because Old Swiss Inn is open 24 hours. For dinner, we also dined at Old Swiss Inn and tried some of their specialties - Pepper Steak Swiss Inn and Fresh Corned Beef, along with their Gouiash Soup, Caesar Salad, and Chocolate Fondue for dessert. Yummmm!!!

Ikkyu-An Japanese Restaurant

For lunch, we visited another Somerset property, the Somerset Millennium along Aguirre St. Salcedo Village Makati. We dined at one of their dining outlets, the newly-opened Japanese restaurant called Ikkyu-An. We had Kuro-Buta-Katsu-Don-Set and the Tori-Kuwa-Yaki-Set. Both are quite good and satisfying.

Overall, our stay at Somerset Olympia Makati is comfortable, lovely, and memorable. The rooms are spacious, clean, and equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The staff are warm, nice, and genuinely accommodating. Its prime location makes an ideal place to stay in Makati whether for business or leisure travels. I highly recommend it and I'm giving it my two thumbs up!
