WHERE DO YOU WANT TO GO?

Batangas - A Bright and Shining Morning at Mt. Gulugod Baboy

Thank God! The sun was bright and shining on our 2nd day in Mt. Gulugod Baboy. It's still early and cold outside, but some of my friends were already up and preparing breakfast for everyone. Yes, I'm wide awake, but my body is aching from the not so comfortable sleep on rocky, uneven soil where we pitch our tent. And I had to convince myself a couple of times before I decided to get up. Hahaha!!!

Since there are still a lot of things to do, I get up and looked for some hot water to have my morning dose of coffee. Breakfast followed and chit-chats as to what happened the previous day.

We took some time to take photos, play around and mingle with the family that took care of us. Some, (especially the first-timers in Gulugod Baboy) decided to climb again to see the summit, while the others had some lazy time out.

After fixing our things, we decided to go down. We bid goodbye and said our thank you's to the family who graciously accommodated us. It's still an hour of trekking, so we have to get going.

The estimated 1 hour trekking time was reduced to only 45 minutes. We had less breaks and photo ops. Hehehe!

We finally reached the jump-off point before lunch time.

As we usually do, we went to PhilPan Dive Resort to spend some time in the beach. But the waves are humogously big as the southwest monsoon is affecting the area. We decided to find a resort with a swimming pool, so we proceeded to the nearby Aquaventure Dive Resort. It's definitely a good choice for our post-climb swimming.

This is part of the Sosyal Klaymers' Mt. Gulugod Baboy Climb that happened last August 28-29, 2011 in Anilao, Mabini Batangas. It was a climb full of fun, camaraderie, triumphs and friendship in celebration of our group's 2nd anniversary. To date, this is the 11th mountain on my list.
