WHERE DO YOU WANT TO GO?

Climbing Tip : Mt. Gulugod Baboy - How To Get There, Itinerary, Side Trips, Expenses and Contact Details

HOW TO GET THERE

From Manila to Anilao
Take any Batangas City bound bus and get off at Bauan diversion (fare is around 140 PHP). From there, you can take a jeepney going to Mabini (30 PHP) and tell the driver to drop you at the corner going to Philpan Dive Resort in Anilao. From there, you can take a tricycle going to Philpan (90 PHP/tricycle), which is the jump-off point. Alternatively, you may opt to charter a jeepney (1,200 PHP) from Bauan diversion going to the jump-off point to avoid transferring from one jeepney to another. Accross Philpan resort, you will see a cemented path going up, this is the start of the hike.

This is part of the Sosyal Klaymers' Mt. Gulugod Baboy Climb that happened last August 28-29, 2011 in Anilao, Mabini Batangas. It was a climb full of fun, camaraderie, triumphs and friendship in celebration of our group's 2nd anniversary. To date, this is the 11th mountain on my list.

  29. Hello, just to share although years na pala lumipas hehe... yes successful ang night climb namin. We arrived mga almost 9pm na hindi pa kami nagdidinner. then buti may open pa na kainan sa jumpoff. We met the owner but I forgot her name na, shes friendly, accomodating and helpful. Shes workingworkingwith with the baranggay if I remembered it right, she even assisted us sa guides namin for that night. We reached the campsite ng mga 11pm na ata and good thing it was full moon so maliwanag yung trails. Parang kami lang ata nagcamp sa site although may nga areas din near na may mga tents din. Theyre already sleeping when we got there. The next day we woke up early to witness the sunrise. It was mesmerizing. We ate our breakfast then packed up and stayed sa resort sa baba ng jumpoff I forgot the name but anyway, maraming resorts sa area you can ask the locals. Maraming mura din open for public. Bring trashbags to Manage your trash. pwede rin magluto sa resort kung may stove kayo dala. :) enjoy!

  30. Hi. Thank you for sharing this. But are there tents available for rent near the area? We are planning to go there next month.
