I really don't have any accommodation in mind when I arrived in Santiago City, I just need a decent room where I could stay for a night. But, upon arriving in the city, I saw this tall hotel building - The Amancio Hotel. I certainly like the hotel's prime location, it's near the business, shopping and entertainment district of Santiago City. Food chains, internet shops, supermarket, drugstores and other commercial establishment is just a few meters away.
First thing I noticed is their friendly staff, that's already a plus. Then I checked on their rates and found out that they have an on-going promo for their single rooms. A night's stay is only 850 pesos which includes a complimentary buffet breakfast. Yes, I don't go for hotels as they are mostly beyond my usual budget, but since their promo rate and it's accessibility to all that I need is so hard to resist, I quickly gave-in and took a room.
The hotel has an efficient lift, so even if my room is located at the 5th floor, going up is not a problem.
The room is nice. I like the color combination and the lighting inside. The bed is soft and it is matched with fluffy pillow and sheets. It has a private toilet and bath with hot and cold shower, a television set and an air-conditioning unit. Towels and toiletries are provided. WIFI is also available. Not to forget, the hotel's staff are all hospitable and friendly.
The complimentary buffet breakfast at their restaurant is just okay. The spread is very limited. It only has around 5 viands - eggs, hotdogs, tapa, etc. But, overall, I enjoyed my stay here and will definitely stay here again anytime soon.
