Pinoy Festivals: Kadayawan Festival 2013 Schedule of Activities

Kadayawan Festival in Davao City is annually held on the third week of August. The festival is the biggest annual celebration in the whole of Davao region which also happens together with the harvest season of local produce and the blooming of many flowers. It is a celebration of life, culture and a thanksgiving for the bountiful harvest.

Kadayawan is a month long celebration; basing on previous celebrations the highlights of the festival will fall on August 17 and 18, 2013 with Indak-Indak sa Kadalanan (Street Dancing) and Pamulak sa Kadalanan (Floral Float Parade) respectively.

  3. hi, it's my first time to be in DAVAO and it's my first time travelling solo. Anyone or any groups out there who'll be going here for the Kadayawan as well? I'm not quite adventurous to go on solo and of course it'll be a good idea to share-cost on accomodation and travel expenses.... I already have my plane tickets booked, i'll be there from 16aug to 19aug. Any brave soul out there? eheheh. lemme know pls.. (0927-703-9022 lee)
