ACCOMMODATIONS
Savor a pleasant stay in a paradise-like beach resort. At the time of my visit, the resort offers air-con and non-airconditioned casitas. The non air-con casitas are native-inspired accommodation available for day use or overnight stay. RATES (Air-Conditioned Casitas)
Room good for 2-4 persons - PhP 5,000 (Weekday Rate) and PhP 6,000 (Weekend Rate). Additional guest(s) is charged PhP 700/person.
They also have Family Tea Houses which are open-air pavilions for day use.
Small (good 4-8 persons) - PhP 1,300/unit with free Iced tea for 4
Big (good for 8-16 persons) - PhP 2,500 /unit with free Iced tea for 8
FACILITIES AND AMENITIES
At the middle of the casitas is a huge pavilion that serves as a restaurant and the lovely infinity pool. The place is well-manicured and is surrounded with lush ornamental and flowering plants. The swimming pool has a swim-up mini bar with seats submerged in the water. Resort guests will certainly have a good time here as they swim and at the same time enjoy a refreshing drink served by the pool.The beach has a long shoreline ideal for water activities such as jet ski, banana boat ride, kayaking, skim boarding and paddle boarding.
Aside from these amenities, the resort also offers river tours, forest tours, orchard tours, plantation tours and twilight safari tours. Guests will never get bored and will really have a good time in Banana Beach Resort with the activities they offer.
TOUR PACKAGES
They also offer package tours such as "Day Package" and "Consumable Pass". Day package is 1,200 pesos per head on weekdays and 1,500 pesos per head during weekends. For a minimum of 8 persons, you have a choice of either Forest Tour or Plantation Tour. The package also includes welcome drinks, lunch, unlimited use of the infinity pool and van transfers from Davao city to the resort and back.The consumable pass is 750 pesos per head valid for 1 day. The entrance fee can be fully consumed on food and drinks, resort activities, equipment and other facilities. It also includes unlimited use of infinity pool. There's a special rate for Davao del Norte and Compostela Valley residents, day pass is only 500 pesos head. What a great deal!
Banana Beach Resort is managed by the Tuazons of Hijo Resources Corporation. Aside from the beach and the infinity pool, they also offer other activities such as ATV ride, beach volleyball, ultimate frisbee, horseback riding, biking, fishing, river cruise, elevated walk at the forest and a lot more.
Overall, I had a pleasant and memorable experience at Banana Beach Resort. I recommend it for you to stay-in when visiting Tagum City.
