For lunch during our South Batan tour, our guide Ryan already arranged everything for us. Located just within the vicinity of the famed Racuh a Payaman (also known as Marlboro Countrty), Marconines Canteen offers guests with sumptuous meals perfect for the cool and windy atmosphere of the common pastureland. After exploring and enjoying the panoramic view at Racuh a Payaman, we settled in one of the makeshift huts for that al fesco dining experience.

The food that were served to us are composed mainly of seafood. Ironically, in a place where wild cows and carabaos roam around, there were not a single meat dish served. Hahaha! Which I like! :)
It started with a hot seaweed soup, then the main courses such as ginataang gulay, sweet and sour fish, flying fish embutido, uvud balls and an octopus dish. All were really good!
So, if you're traveling to Batanes, you may request your guide to have your lunch at Marconines Canteen in Racuh a Payaman.
This is part of my 5-day trip to Batanes that happened on May 6-10, 2013. Batanes is the 79th province on my list.
