Bislig, considered as the easternmost city of the Philippines in terms of geographical location is the gateway to Tinuy-an Falls. If you're traveling to Surigao del Sur to see the grandeur of Tinuy-an Falls, Bislig City is the most convenient place for you to stay at as your base. As the commercial center of the province, Bislig has several accommodation options to offer.
There are no fancy resorts or hotels in Bislig, it only has a few hostels, lodges and pension houses that are mostly budget friendly. Aside from the more popular Casa de Babano, Florland Resort and Paper Country Inn, you may also check out Sleep Inn located along R.B. Castillo St., Mangagoy. This is where we stayed for a night during our visit to Surigao del Sur.
Sleep Inn is a 2-storey house converted to a hostel or pension house. It has several rooms at the first and second level. Room rates starts at 150 pesos (single room) to as much as 750 pesos (triple sharing) per night. Depending on your room type, basic amenities such as airconditioning unit, en suite or common toilet and bath, television set and complimentary use of bath towel are included. It also has a small balcony at one side of the pension house facing the main street where you could breath some fresh air. Commercial and business establishments are also just a few meters away from the Inn.
ROOM RATES (as of August 2012)
Our room is an airconditioned room with twin beds for 400 pesos per night. It is very basic and without its own toilet and bath. Staff are accommodating and very helpful. It's an affordable and nice place to stay in Bislig City.
