The restaurant exudes an "old school" theme with checkered table cloth, wooden chairs and old decors. I feel like I was back in the late 80's, dining at my favorite snack bar just outside our school.

Angeles Fried Chicken's menu is composed of different Filipino favorites. But they take pride on their signature fried chicken which based on their tagline, "tastes heavenly." Here are the dishes we got to try for dinner:

Chicharon Bulaklak – PHP 175.00

Made from pig's mesentery, the fatty tissue that hold together the pig's small intestines. It was served hot and very crispy. This is perfect for pulutan. I think, I ate too much of this. Sarap!

Sizzling Sisig – PHP 175.00

A classic Kapampangan specialty, Sisig is made from pig's head and mixed with liver and onions other spices. When served, you may season it with calamansi and chili peppers. It was so good! Unlike the other sisig that I've tasted, this one is not too salty. It has the perfect balance of pork, onions, liver and seasoning.

Chicken Barbecue – PHP 165.00

A sweet and savoury charcoal grilled chicken served with potato slices on the side. The chicken is tender and not dry. Unfortunately, it lacks the charcoal or burnt taste that I'm looking for grilled chicken. But it was also good.

AFC Fried Rice – PHP 120.00

Angeles Fried Chicken's signature fried rice. It has bits of veggies, shrimps and eggs. This is perfect for the fried chicken.

Camaron Rebosado – PHP 225.00

Known as the "Philippine version of tempura", Camaron Rebosado is individually hand-dipped shrimps in batter and deep fried until its crispy. The shrimp tastes bland but the rich and flavorful sweet and sour sauce made up for it.

Pancit Canton – PHP 145.00

Stir-fried flour noodles mixed with vegetables, chicken and liver. Nothing really extra ordinary with their pancit canton, but it's definitely better than the instant pancit canton from the supermarket.

Fried chicken with loads of garlic. It was good. Though it has a lot of garlic, it wasn't too overpowering.

Angeles Fried Chicken, (Family Size / 9 pieces) – PHP 425.00

Mouthwatering pieces of chicken, deep fried to perfection. It has that distinct taste that I only tasted here at Angeles Fried Chicken. The taste is incomparable with other commercial fried chicken in the market. You can choose to order crispy or regular fried chicken and can be paired with bread rolls or rice and with coleslaw on the side. This is definitely a must-try at Angeles Fried Chicken.

  1. I know AFC not to be a salad bar or resto but its crispy chicken salad is worth one's money. The delicious secret is in the dressing. Soooo drizzle-worthy!
