Tune Hotel Ortigas is a member of the international value hotel brand of Tune Hotels in the Philippines, Southeast Asia and other parts of the world. Designed along the lines of budget accommodations, it is a 12-storey building along Shaw Boulevard in the commercial and business districts of Ortigas Center in Pasig City. It has a total of 182 rooms; of which 126 are double rooms, 52 are twin rooms, and 4 are accessible/handicapped rooms.
Last week, together with my friend, we were fortunate to have a complimentary 2-night stay at Tune Hotel Ortigas. It wasn't hard to find the hotel as it is located just 2 blocks away from Shangri-la Plaza and can be accessed by public or private transportation. It will be our base as we explore some of the area's new and must-try restaurants and food shops.
Upon arrival at the hotel, I was instantly impressed by the hip and trendy lobby area with the color red dominating the interiors. It is exquisitely styled in black, white and red colors with natural light coming from the glass door at the hotel's back entrance. At that moment, I thought I was checking-in at a mid-class hotel with its spacious and cozy interiors.
We were hospitably welcomed by the hotel staff and greeted us with a warm smile. We then proceeded to the reception area to check-in. It was fast and efficient; it only took us about 10 minutes and we were given our electronic access key card to our room.
Since our room is located at the 11th floor, we needed to tap the electronic access key card at the elevator to access the 11th floor. The key card is programmed to access only the floor where your room is located. I like it! This security feature assures every guest that no non-hotel guests would just be loitering anywhere inside the hotel's premises - especially at the hallways where the rooms are. To feel safe and sound any time of the day is one important factors to be considered when staying in a hotel. Tune Hotel Ortigas certainly gives every guest that much needed security and "peace of mind."
This is my second time to stay at Tune Hotel and still, I was not disappointed with their rooms and the basic amenities they offer. Their up-scale yet affordable accommodation is evident in the rooms which are clean and have modern furnishings. It is characterized with shades of white and earth tones which create a relaxing and calming ambiance.
Rooms are furnished with a queen size bed or 2 single beds with plush linens, pillows, comforters, separate toilet and bath, flat screen television set with cable channels, in-room safe, individually-controlled air-conditioning unit, a huge mirror, hair dryer, clothes hanging area, a ceiling fan and a foldable side table. It also has a window on one side where you could have a very nice view of the city.
The toilet and bath is spacious and consistently clean. It has a sink, water closet with bidet and high pressured hot and cold shower. Clean towels and basic toiletries can also be availed as an add-on to the basic room rate.
Unfortunately, Tune Hotels Ortigas doesn't have food services as of last week. A food outlet at the ground floor of the hotel premises is now under construction and will be opening any time soon. But no need to worry, as it is located right in the heart of the commercial center of Ortigas, fast food chains, convenience stores and restaurants abound the area. You can also have it delivered right into your room, just like what we did. You may checkout www.foodpanda.ph online food delivery service and choose among its wide selection of restaurants where you could order meals at any time of the day.
Fast and reliable internet connection is available anywhere in the hotel. At the lobby, there are also some computer sets that you could use to access the internet for free.
Tune Hotel Ortigas also has multi-level parking located on the 2nd to the 4th floor of the building. Parking can be accessed along Pearl Drive and is available for checked-in guests on a first come, first served basis.
The average room rate at Tune Hotel Ortigas costs around 1,100 pesos per night (excluding taxes and other charges). That's the basic rate for a room that could accommodate 2 guests. Standard check-in time is at 2:00 pm, while check-out time is at 11:00 am.
The best thing about the chain of Tune Hotels, guests may opt to avail of add-on packages on a "pay as you use" basis. These packages are valued at 300 to 420 pesos include the use of other amenities such as the air-conditioning unit, cable television, WIFI Internet access as well as the toiletries kit and the bath towels on top of the basic room rate. I suggest that if you're on a budget and simply needs a bed to sleep, just get the basic room rate.

Just booked at Tune Ortigas on the 16th based on your review. Hopefully, my stay will be a good one too. ♥
ReplyDeleteHi, I booked a room there.. just like to ask, is there an additional charge for the use of air-con and television?
ReplyDeleteIs it confirmed that they allow food delivery to your room? 'Coz most hotels don't allow food inside rooms or would allow with corkage fees.
