On our 3rd day in South Cotabato, we visited the town of Glan in Saranggani province. From General Santos City, we took a passenger van that brought us to Glan. Upon arriving at the town center, we hurriedly searched for a place to eat. We were really very hungry at that time. The locals told us that we go to the market where we could find some eateries serving decent food. So, we did.
While walking around, we saw some old houses which got me quite excited! :)
If you've been following this blog, you probably know that I love seeing old houses. I always feel a certain awe seeing them. It makes me travel back to the olden times where you get a glimpse of how they live back then.
Unlike the old houses I saw in Silay in Negros Occidental, Vigan, Pila in Laguna and Taal in Batangas, the old houses in Glan are not that well-maintained. I hope something must be done to preserve these old houses. Anyway, we just took some photos and appreciate the beautiful houses.
On our way to Gumasa Beach, we passed by the Municipal Hall of Glan. I was amazed as it is "coated" in gold! Beautiful!
This is part of our 4-day South Cotabato Adventure that happened on August 3-6, 2012. Sarangani is the 73rd province on my list.
