HOTELS IN BALANGA: The Plaza Hotel, "Classy and Stylish Hotel in Balanga, Bataan"

The Plaza Hotel is is one of the newest properties to open in Balanga City, Bataan. Located at Plaza Mayor de Ciudad de Balanga or the City Plaza of Balanga, it features an impressive Spanish colonial architecture offering a distinct experience with its rustic, old-world charm and modern undertones. It has several stylishly furnished rooms with elegant and contemporary design that will surely bring any guest to a hotel experience like no other.

Opened in June 2014, The Plaza Hotel has 34 well-appointed rooms, all designed with the guests' comfort in mind. It is perfectly located just across the Balanga Cathedral, which was built in the 18th century.

It is also adjacent to the City Hall of Balanga, Galleria de Victoria Mall, as well as other business, commercial and food establishments. Its strategic location at the heart of the city makes it an ideal place to stay for leisure and business travelers visiting Balanga City.

Arriving at the city plaza, I was amazed to see the Plaza Mayor de Ciudad de Balanga. In an instant, I thought we were transported somewhere in Europe with this beautiful colonial architecture right in front of me.

We then entered the hotel premises and took the lift to the lobby located at the 3rd floor. We were hospitably welcomed by the hotel staff and greeted us with a warm smile. Since we already have a reservation, we just gave our names and were asked to fill out a registration form. Checking-in was fast and efficient, it only took about 5 minutes and we're done.

We were then given the electronic access key card to our room and were ushered to the room by their friendly staff.

Upon entering our room, I was instantly impressed. It's a well-appointed and spacious Executive Room that is clean and well-kept. Its cozy and classy interiors gave me an engaging feel and the lighting inside is just enough to give you a relaxing sleep.

There were 2 double beds joined together with small bed tables on the each side. It is coupled with high quality non-allergenic pillows, fresh and clean white cotton sheets and thick comforters. I hurriedly tried it and I felt like I just wanna lay here and sleep. It's so comfortable!

I am very much impressed by the much needed amenities equipped inside the room such as flat screen LED TV with cable channels, a personal refrigerator, an electronic safe, coffee and tea making sets, a work desk, mirror, cabinet, luggage rack and a breakfast nook. It also has an individually controlled air conditioning unit, so adjusting it to your preferred temperature is not a problem. WIFI connectivity is also available inside the room and it's for FREE! I love it!

As I sneaked into the toilet and bath, I was also impressed. I always believe that it is important to have a bathroom that is clean, organized, well lit and smells fresh. The Plaza Hotel did not disappoint me; from the sink to the water closet with bidet, to the shower enclosure with rain shower feature, they are all clean. Toiletries such as shampoo, bath soap, shower gel and dental care kits were also provided. The body and hand towels are clean and smell fresh! Everything I need are here! I couldn't ask for more!

We got the chance to see the other rooms. I love the hotel's elegant details and classy interiors with long hallways that are well lit and exudes a very cozy feel.

The hotel has several room types, each having its own character and offers facilities and amenities that suit the varying needs of the guests. You can also choose a room with a splendid view of Plaza Mayor de Ciudad de Balanga (City Plaza) which comes alive and well-lit at night. It's so beautiful!

Seeing the different rooms makes me more amazed at how lovely The Plaza Hotel is. All rooms are equipped with well-appointed facilities and amenities that will assure that all its valued guests will have a stay they will never forget.

FOOD SERVICES

Every booking comes with complimentary breakfast served at Cafe Kyoto, their in-house restaurant located at the 3rd floor. You may choose from their selection of set breakfast meals or you may also add other meals by choosing from their wide selection of authentic Japanese cuisine such as sushi, ramen, tonkatsu, teppanyaki and many more.

As I am not too much of a Japanese cuisine lover, we opted to sample on Cafe Kyoto's versions of the classic Filipino favorites. I love it because they are huge is servings, well presented and really tastes good! What a great way to start your day is to relish on good food!

WIFI INTERNET CONNECTION

Free WIFI internet access is available throughout the hotel. Connection is fast and reliable; although it gets a bit weak when inside the room, it's good enough for posting some photos on my social media accounts and replying to emails.

Occupancy is dependent on the room type. Children eight years and below may stay for free. Extra person fee is 500 pesos per night with complimentary breakfast. FUNCTION ROOMS

They also have two (2) function rooms located at the 3rd floor and at the roof deck which are available for corporate meetings or social events. The function room at the rood deck affords a stunning view of the city as well as the surrounding mountains. On a clear day, you can actually see the cross on Mt. Samat from here. It is an ideal location for wedding receptions, seminars and other special events and gatherings.

The Plaza Hotel's distinct surroundings, relaxing ambiance, top-notch amenities, excellent customer service, proximity to Balanga City's business, entertainment and recreation establishments are just some of the qualities that set it apart from other hotels in Balanga City. It may be a newly established hotel in Balanga, but it already proved to me the excellent and quality of service that they offer to its guests.
