Earlier this month, I went to Sagada after witnessing Panagbenga Festival 2015 in Baguio City. Sagada is one of my favorite destinations in northern Luzon because it offers a lot of destinations and sites to explore. More to that, the cool climate, lovely people and good food made me want to go back to Sagada after almost 3 years since I last visited it.
That Thing Called Tadhana Movie Locations in Sagada
Sagada is already a popular destination for people wanting to experience an awesome Cordillera adventure. Recenty, more people had become more interested with it as it was used as a location in some of the scenes in the hit movie "That Thing Called Tadhana." I've watched the movie and I must admit that it made me want to go back to Sagada.
Here are some photos of me mimicking the scenes in "That Thing Called Tadhana"
Kiltepan Viewpoint
How To Get There? Located at Kiltepan road, it is about 4 kilometers away from town proper and can be reached by walking for about 1 hour. Alternatively, you can hire a jeepney that will bring you there for 500 pesos back and forth. The best time to go here is early morning to experience an astonishing sunrise.Gaia Cafe
How To Get There? It can be reached by foot via a 45 minute walk from the town proper. Just follow the route going to Sumaguing Cave. Gaia Cafe is located on the right side of the road before reaching Sumaguing Cave. These locations in Sagada where the movie "That Thing Called Tadhana" were shot are really a must-visit! 10 Memorable Lines From "That Thing Called Tadhana"
- Mace: “Kung mahal mo, habulin mo, ipaglaban mo. ‘Wag mong hintaying may magtulak sa kanya pabalik sa’yo. Hilahin mo. Hanggang kaya mo, wag kang bibitaw.
Ba’t ba Baguio? Hindi ba pwedeng sa inuman na lang?”
- Mace: “Gaano katagal bago mo siya nakalimutan?”
Anthony: “Matagal.”
Mace: “Gaano nga katagal? One year? Two? 3? 4? 5?”
Anthony: “Piso talaga, ano tayo grade 1?”
Mace: “Ayan o, yung mata niya, tsaka yung smile niya.”
Anthony : “Wow. Love is blind. Naniniwala na ako, love is blind.”
- Mace: “Hindi. Na. Kita. Mahal. Makakaalis. Ka. Na. Seven words. ‘Yung 8 years namin, kinaya niyang tapusin in 7 words.”
There are all kinds of love in this world, but never the same love twice.”
