SAMAR TOURIST SPOTS: Kandongos Falls in Marabut, Samar

A not so popular and basically unknown waterfall in Samar is Kandongos Falls. Located in the municipality of Marabut, it is hidden in a lush forest near the hi-way. A short trek of about 50 meters from the hi-way is required to see this lovely waterfall. Don't worry, it's just an easy trek of about 10 minutes.

Surrounded by lush vegetation, the water from the top of Kandongos falls flows down on a rugged mountain slope with a sound that is truly refreshing. With this kind of setting and view, I believe it's definitely worth a visit!

How to Get to Kandongos Falls in Samar

Getting there is a bit tricky as there is really no signage that leads to Kandongos Falls. From Tacloban City, you may take a van bound for Guiuan, Eastern Samar. The waterfall is on the left side of the road, 6 km away from Jasmine Resort and near the provincial boundary of Samar and Eastern Samar.
