TRAVEL TIP: How to Get to La Virginia Resort in Mataas Na Kahoy Batangas (An Awesome Resort Near Manila)

Are you looking for an awesome resort near Manila with all the much-needed amenities for a comfortable and memorable summer getaway or for just a quick weekend escape? Here's my suggestion... Just 2 hours away from Metro Manila is the sprawling and very lovely La Virginia Leisure Park and Amusement Resort in the town of Mataas na Kahoy, Batangas. Set on an 8 hectare secluded property, it is one of the largest privately-owned resorts in Batangas.

How to Get to La Virginia Resort

Via Public Transportation

• From Manila, take a bus bound for Lipa City, Batangas. Bus companies such as DLTB and Jam Liner has several trips from Buendia to Lipa City that leaves almost every hour from their bus terminals near Buendia-LRT station. Fare is around 125.00 pesos and travel time about 1.5 hours. It is recommended that you ride the bus that takes the CALABARZON (STAR Toll) expressway for faster travel.
• Tell the driver to drop you at Jollibee Tambo/Lipa Exit.
• From there, cross the road and take a jeepney bound for Mataas Na Kahoy. Fare is around 13.00 pesos and travel time is about 15-20 minutes.
• Tell the driver to drop you at 7-Eleven in Mataas na Kahoy. From there, take a tricycle to La Virginia Resort. Fare is 60.00 pesos per tricycle and travel time is about 10-15 minutes.

Via Private Vehicle

• From Manila, take South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) all the way to Calamba Exit.
• Then take the Calamba STAR Toll link road and travel all the way to STAR Toll (CALABARZON) expressway.
• Take the Lipa/Tambo exit and then turn left and take the national road all the way to Fernando Airbase.
• Upon reaching Fernando Airbase, turn right and follow the road signs from the map below.
