Go Hotels is a Filipino-owned value hotel chain in the country that offers secured, no-frills and affordable "feel-like-home" accommodation for every Juan. Currently, they are located in key cities and provinces such as Bacolod, Butuan, Dumaguete, Iloilo, Mandaluyong, Manila (Otis), Ortigas, Puerto Princesa and Tacloban. Soon, their 2nd property in Mindanao will be opened in the high-urbanized City of Davao!
Just last month, we were able to stay at Go Hotels Cybergate Plaza in Mandaluyong City (Check rates online). Located just beside Robinsons Place Pioneer in Boni, it is very accessible and easy to locate. Its strategic location in the heart of the city is near commercial, business and entertainment establishments in Mandaluyong City and its accessibility to public transportation makes moving around the city easier and convenient.
Upon arrival, I was instantly impressed with Go Hotels Mandaluyong's lovely and spacious lobby. It is neat and well-designed with a lot of sitting areas for guests to lounge while waiting for check-in or check-out.
We then proceeded to the reception area where we were greeted with a sweet smile by their lovely staff and assisted us with our reservation.
Checking-in
Checking-in was a breeze. After filling out a registration form and presenting our identification cards, we were handed the room's key card and we were ushered to the elevator that brought us the floor where our room is located.Queen Room
Our room is a Queen Room (Check rates online) with a lovely view of the city. The room is clean, uncluttered and has modern furnishings. It is characterized with earth tone colors mixed with green and yellow colors that give a very welcoming and cozy ambiance. The bed is a queen-sized bed with a very comfortable Windsor mattress. It is complemented with clean white sheet, plush comforter and chiropractic high quality and non-allergenic pillows. I quickly tried it and my back loves it. Very comfortable!
Room Amenities
It is also equipped with the much-needed amenities such as an en suite toilet and bath, an individually-controlled air-conditioning unit, an LCD television set with cable channels, telephone, clothes hanging rack, an in-room safe and a spacious working desk.Toilet and Bath
As I sneaked into the toilet and bath, I was impressed! Being a budget hotel, I didn't expect a toilet and bath as spacious as this. It has a walk-in shower area with hot & cold super shower, a sink with mirror and a clean water closet. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a bidet spray. It is clean, organized and well-lit. They also provided basic toiletries such as soap, shampoo and tissue paper. Clean and fluffy bath towels were also provided.
You can also avail additional toiletries for only 98.56 pesos per set. It includes shampoo, conditioner, bath soap, shower gel, body lotion, dental and vanity kits.
The room only has the essentials amenities needed for a comfortable stay. This is what I like most at any Go Hotels - the homey ambiance with an uncluttered guest rooms, which I really like.
WIFI Internet Connection
Free WIFI internet access is available for all guests. Connection is fast and reliable; it gets a bit weak when inside the room, but it's tolerable. Maybe it also depends on where your room is located.Food and Beverages
As a budget hotel, complimentary breakfast is not included in every booking. But that can be availed as an "add-on" for only around 150 pesos depending on the set breakfast meal you want. You can avail that when booking online or upon check-in. Just inform the front desk officer to show you the available set breakfast prepared by Tokyo Cafe. Also, if you get hungry any time of the day, it won't be a problem as they allow food delivery service in the hotel. There's also a 24-hour convenience store located just within the building.
If you want to go out to have a meal, Robinsons Pioneer Mandaluyong and Banchetto are just a few strides away. If they are already closed, drinks and snacks are not a problem. There's a 24-hour vending area located at the 5th floor where you could grab some snacks, in case you get hungry any time of the day.
Eating inside the room is not allowed. You may use the spacious and lovely common areas at the lobby, 5th and 6th floors if you wish to eat. They are also good spots to use the hotel's free WIFI. :)
