If you want to know more about the history of Angeles City, you should visit Museo Ning Angeles (Museum of Angeles). Located in the heart of the Sto. Rosario Historic District (across Holy Rosary Cathedral), it houses some exhibits and memorabilia about Angeles City and showcases the city's rich heritage, including the culture and tradition of AngeleΓ±os.
Museo ning Angeles is housed in a 2-story old municipal hall building which was constructed in 1922 during the term of Mayor Juan Nepomoceno. The building is a museum piece by itself and served as Municipio del Pueblo or Town Hall of Angeles City until 1998.
The museum is managed by Kuliat Foundation, Inc., a non-stock, non-profit organization whose absolute purpose is to preserve the history, culture, and traditions of Angeles City through the development and promotion of historical, cultural, educational, environmental, social and economic plans, programs and projects for the AngeleΓ±os.
Since it opened in 1999, Museo ning Angeles has been a center of activities such as exhibits, art classes, concerts and venue for performances and traditional celebrations.
I always believe that for us to know more about the place we are visiting - its culture, practices and traditions, we should at least visit its museum. So, when in Angeles City, don't forget to visit Museo Ning Angeles!
