A Baguio Holiday Like No Other at The Manor in Camp John Hay

The Manor at Camp John Hay is a pleasant retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the crowded city center of Baguio. Designed to blend neatly with towering pine trees, it provides a breathtaking view of the Cordillera mountain range. It is more than just a log cabin accommodation in the woods, it's a world class hotel with 5-star amenities in the middle of Baguio's pine forest. From the hotel's wooden architecture, log cabin ambiance, to its classy interiors, guests will certainly have a memorable and exceptional stay at The Manor Hotel

We had the chance to stay at The Manor last June and I must say that it is one of the best hotels in Baguio City. Let me share to you our experience...

Just upon entering the doors of its amazing log cabin property, The Manor has a charming and elegant interior that is designed to feel like you were transported to the American-era charm of Baguio City.

The door was opened by their pleasant staff and assisted us with our luggage. We proceeded to the reception area where we were warmly welcomed by the hotel staff and greeted us with warm smiles - which is something I consider genuine hospitality.

They then assisted us with our booking. It was fast and efficient; after about 5-10 minutes, we were ushered to our room.

Deluxe Room

I did not know what to expect when we were ushered to our room, but what we came in was a well-appointed Deluxe Room (Check rates online) with an awesome view of The Manor's sprawling gardens. I love that their room is really spacious, smells fresh, very clean and has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay.

Our Deluxe Room has two single-sized beds joined together by a small bed table with lamp and a telephone unit. It is complemented with clean and fresh white sheets, high-quality duvets and fluffy pillows.

With guests' comfort in mind, the room is equipped with all the much-needed amenities and facilitie such as an en suite toilet and bath, television set with cable channels, ceiling fan, cabinet, working area, luggage rack, in-room safe, a phone system with IDD/NDD, breakfast nook and a counter top with sink, among many others.

There's also a mini bar with coffee and tea-making equipment, snacks and a refrigerator filled with drinks and complimentary bottled water.

An oh... These welcome treats of fresh strawberries and delectable pastries are such a sweet and warm welcome!

On one side of the room is a private veranda with chairs and a table offering a stunning view of the well-manicured garden. This is where we spent most of our time; just lounging at the chairs, enjoying the cool Baguio weather while sipping a good cup of coffee.

As I checked on the toilet and bath, I was amazed as it is nice and well organized. It has a walk-in shower area with hot and cold shower and rain shower feature. Though, it wasn't as grand as I expected it to be, it is impressively clean.


It is also complete with quality toiletries such as shampoo with conditioner, body lotion, bath soaps, vanity and dental kits. Clean and fresh hand, face and body towels were also provided.

Le Chef Restaurant

The hotel's restaurant located beside the well-manicured garden at the ground floor serves buffet breakfast which is one of the best in the city as well as al carte meals for lunch and dinner. It is open daily from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM for checked-in guests and non-guests.

During our entire stay, Le Chef Restaurant spoiled us with their sumptuous and delectable menu of international and Filipino cuisines from breakfast to dinner. I will write a separate post on this later.

Complimentary Foot and Leg Massage

Guests are also treated with a complimentary welcome foot and leg massage that can be availed inside the comfort of your room. This is pampering beyond my expectations. I loved it!

WIFI Internet Connection

Every booking comes with free internet use. It's available anywhere in the hotel. It's fast and stable, which I really love!
