Davao City is a highly urbanized city in Mindanao and serves as the main trade, commerce, and industry hub of Mindanao and the regional center of Davao Region. It is known by many nicknames, including as the "Crown Jewel of Mindanao", "Durian Capital of the Philippines" and the "City of Royalties." As one of my favorite cities in the country, I've been to Davao City several times and I only have fond memories of all of my visits.
After every visit, when I arrived home, I experience an "insatiable separation anxiety" with Davao City. That feeling of wanting to come back and stay longer. Urgggg! I miss Davao City! Here are the reason why I hate visiting Davao City.
1. I miss the good food
Davao City has a lot to offer when in comes to food. I miss eating durian and fresh fruits in Bangkeronhan Market. I miss the Persian Kabab at Majid's Restaurant and the cakes at Lachi's. And most of all, I miss the Bulca Chong, a Davao specialty dish made from Carabao meat! When in Davao, bawal mag-diet! You should be ready to gain some weight and indulge on Davao City's good food!SEE ALSO:
2. I miss the honest taxi drivers
In Davao, taxi drivers don't choose passengers and give you your exact change even to the last peso. Sana ganun din sa Manila. Hahaha!3. I miss the endless things to do
From adventure to nature trips and food trips, Davao City has it all! Parang SM lang! Hahaha! But certainly, you'll never run out of things to do when visiting Davao City. Indeed, "Life is here!"4. Most of all, I miss the peace and order in Davao City
I can roam around even at the most "unwanted time" in the morning. I feel safe and secured in Davao City. No other cities in the country can make me feel that certain level of safety when I am in Davao City. Well, thanks to the leadership of Mayor Duterte for making Davao City one of the "Safest Cities in the World!"It's been a while since I last visited Davao City. And I can't wait to be back real soon! How about you? What makes you miss Davao City?

ReplyDeleteI think the title should be better if - Reasons for visiting Davao City.
ReplyDeleteHate is a very negative word, and if you just want to get attention, positive words are more appreciated.
Unfortunately sometimes negative news bring about more attention thepan positive ones. HahA
DeleteTrue. This is a very good technique to catch the attention of readers. Kudos!
DeleteHe hates it 'cause he missed it. It's called collocation ahaha.. and sa panahon ngayon sa pinas mas napapansin ang negative keysa positive.. lalo na sa medya halos lahat ng balita my mga negative kaya minsan mas maganda pa mag search sa internet
Deletemaganda nman catchy and unique :D akala ko nga ano pero nice title
Deletewhy the writer hates davao hehehe :D LoL
proud dabawenyo :D
Oxymoron! And a nice way to say something you don't want people to hear. Perhaps the author really does hate comparing Davao with other metropolis here due to the obvious disparity. And it goes without saying that he dislikes what Davao is not. But kudos to him. Interesting thoughts.
DeleteIt's just reverse psychology approach. Indeed like what the others said here, it stimulates interest. Mapapa "bakit kaya?" ka talaga and be eager to read on. The title did catch my attention. Hehe. Akala ko nga paninira na naman. Nyahahaha!
DeleteHe did it right, it create curiosity to those person who Love Digong but especially those who hate Digong, they are assuming that they might get something to use against him...
DeleteDavao gave me a lot of nice memories and friends.
ReplyDeleteI wanna live there if I can get a chance.
Miss all of them that I met and saw it.

The headline actually caught my attention. Kasi I and friends have been to Davao and we wanna go back (just to eat durian) and Talicud Island. When we went there, we accidentally met Mayor Duterte while he was namamalengke. :)
ReplyDeletei am thinking of moving to Davao City for good. it sounds like its fun and peaceful to live there. but, i will patiently wait until Mayor DU30 gets to Malacanang as he transforms the whole Philippines like Davao City and i do not have to pack my things and leave where I am right now. DU30 for May 09, 2016...May 09 will be my birthday. The greatest birthday I am gonna have and the best gift i am going to receive as Mayor DU30 is our new leader....
