Connecting to the internet while traveling international may be a bit tricky as well as pricey. Dealing with expensive roaming charges, having to switch out or to buy new SIM Card and unlocking your phone are just some of the problem we face just to be able to connect to the internet. May I ask, how important is staying connected when you travel abroad?
To me, being connected to the internet is very important when I travel. It lets me share my travel experience to my friends and stay connected to my family back home. When we were in Japan few months ago for a Familiarization Tour organized by Cebu Pacific Air, we rented a portable WiFi hotspot so we can always be connected to the internet. Prepaid sim cards are not available, so renting a portable WiFi Hotspot is the best choice. I don't remember the name of the WiFi rental provider, but it really made our trip more enjoyable as we stayed connected to the internet anytime.
So, now I'm wondering... The next time I travel abroad, how can I connect to the internet at the cheapest possible cost?
Skyroam Hotspot
Good thing, I was introduced to Skyroam Hotspot. It is a global WiFi provider that enables travelers to stay connected to the internet in more than 70 countries - including all top travel destinations - via its personal WiFi hotspot for just $10 a day for unlimited data. How cool is that?Technical Specs

How does it work?
The device works using a virtual SIM technology and seamlessly connects the Skyroam hotspot to local carriers for unlimited daily usage for up to 5 devices. All you need to do is turn on the device, register once and activate your day pass. And since it is "pay-as-you-go," you will only be charged per day.
