Opened just last year, Red Planet Hotel Amorsolo is located along Urban Avenue, near Pasong Tamo and Makati Medical Center. It is one of the newest addition to the manybudget hotels in Makati and to the growing member of the international hotel brand of Red Planet Hotels in the Philippines. Designed as a "value hotel," it offers basic yet functional and superb hotel amenities and facilities highlighted with commendable services at very affordable rates.
Last month, we had a complimentary 2-night stay at Red Planet Hotel Amorsolo Makati (Check rates online) for a much-needed staycation and food trip in the city. The hotel wasn't hard to find; as it is conveniently located along Urban Avenue, it is near business and commercial establishments in this part of Makati's Central Business District.
Upon arrival at the hotel, we were hospitably greeted and welcomed by the security personnel and ushered us to the reception area located at the 2nd floor.
I was instantly amazed and impressed by the hotel's lovely lobby. It is spacious and exquisitely designed in black, white and red with natural light coming from the huge glass window overlooking the street. It also has nice and comfy sofa and sitting area for guests waiting at the lobby. I am totally impressed! At this moment, I know that we're up for a great stay at Red Planet Hotel Amorsolo.
We then proceeded to the reception area to check-in. The hotel staff warmly welcomed us with sweet smiles and assisted us with our booking. It was fast and efficient. Since we already have a reservation, checking-in only took about 5 minutes and we were given the electronic access key card to our room.
Our room is located at the 7th floor. What I love about Red Planet Hotels is the added security they implemented in the hotel. The key cards were programmed to access only the floor where your room is located. This security feature assures that only hotel guests can access the hotel rooms which gives guests that much needed "peace of mind" - an important factor I always consider when staying in a hotel.
Twin Room
Our room is a twin room designed to comfortably fit 2 adults. It is clean and has modern furnishings with interiors characterized with shades of white and earth tone colors that creates a relaxing and calming ambiance ideal for a comfortable stay.
It is furnished with two single beds complimented with plush linens, comfy pillows and thick comforters. It is also equipped with the much-needed room amenities and facilities such as an en suite toilet and bath, LCD television set with cable channels, an individually-controlled and silent air-conditioning unit, in-room safe, side table, huge mirrors, hair dryer, clothes hanging area and a ceiling fan. It also has a nice window at one side where you could have a view of the city.
The toilet and bath is very spacious considering that it is a budget hotel. It is consistently clean, well lit and organized. It has a sink with mirror, water closet with bidet spray and a separate shower area with excellent hot and cold rain-shower feature and high water pressure. Clean bath towels and basic toiletries such as shampoo and bath soap were also provided. What else can I ask for? All the basic things I need in a bath room are all here.
With all these amenities and facilities at a very affordable rates, guests will surely have an awesome stay at Red Planet Hotel Amorsolo.
F&B Services
As a budget hotel, breakfast is not included in the room rate. But there's no need to worry, as it is located right in the heart of the city, restaurants, fast food chains and convenience stores abound the area. There's also a snack bar at the lobby serving some light snacks and drinks. Just outside the hotel is Crave Burger and 7-Eleven convenience store, so getting hungry any time of the day will not be a problem.
WIFI Internet Connection
As someone who always needs to be online for work, I always make sure that internet connection is available in the hotel I am staying at. Red Planet Amorsolo's free internet connection did not disappoint. Free WIFI internet access is available 24/7 anywhere in the hotel. Connection is fast and reliable, even inside the room - which I really love! Red Planet Hotel significantly upgraded its WiFi connection speeds which is among the fastest in the hotel industry in the Philippines.At the lobby, there are also some computer sets that you could use to access the internet for free. This is one of the things I love most in every Red Planet Hotel. If you feel like using a computer to access the internet, every Red Planet Hotel has computer sets ready to use for the convenience of its guests.
