I am a kind of traveler that relies heavily on mobile phones whenever I travel. I use it for apps such as hotel booking apps, Google maps for directions and to update my friends and followers in my social media accounts. I also use it in taking photos, listening to music during long drives, browsing the net and to stay connected to my family back home. Indeed, a good mobile phone has now been an essential travel companion in every traveler's life.

I got to test my Flash Plus 2 in one of my recent "staycations" in Metro Manila and here are the things I love most about it.
Flash Plus 2 Review
Sporting a metal framework, the new Flash Plus 2 has thin, ergonomic and functional design. Weighing 157 grams and with a dimension of 152.6 × 76.4 × 8.2mm it is thinner than the other average smartphones I've used before. It has a sturdy look, weighs very light and has a premium and top-of-the-line feel. All the buttons and ports are also nicely placed on the sides for accessibility and functionality. That's awesome ergonomic design with a premium feel! What I love most about the Flash Pus 2 is the fingerprint sensor which makes easy unlocking of the handset. It is best for travelers who are always "on the go" especially if you come across a beautiful subject and you have to quicky take a snap of it. The fingerprint scanner is such a very nice feature.
Flash Plus 2's 5.5-inch OGS LCD display @ 1920×1080 pixels display with a pixel density of 401 pixels per inch display is really good! It offers rich and natural colors that gives amazingly crisp images. I love it as it makes watching movies and videos more enjoyable especially during long trips or while waiting for your flight in the airport.
More to that, Flash Plus 2's 4 x 1.8GHz Cortex A53 + 4 x 1.0GHz Cortex A53 processor offers that optimum performance and speed I am looking for in a smartphone. Running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and coupled with 2GB/3GB of RAM, it lets me do multi-tasking without lagging or hanging.
When it comes to the camera, the 13MP rear camera with Realtone dual LED flash is also quite good. It has built-in settings such as Panorama, picture-in-picture, QR Code reader and the normal mode with a kids mode feature that plays multiple sound options to attract attention of children. As an added feature, you could adjust the settings for exposure, white balance of the photo, among many other features built-in the camera app. This will surely take your mobile travel photography to the next level.
Here are some of the sample photos taken with Flash Plus 2
These photos were not edited. Only the watermark were added in the photos. In terms of the front camera, the 5MP front camera with LED flash is quite decent for selfies and video chatting. I love the LED flash that provides intelligent light compensation for selfie-taking or video chatting even in low-light conditions.
Selfie! Selfie!
One of the best features of the Flash Plus 2 are the speakers. The NXP908 power amplifying chip with built-in DSP algorithm driving speaker power up to 3.6W is truly impressive. Whether you're at the beach, in the car, camping out with your friends or just enjoying the outdoors, the speakers of Flash Plus 2 is an awesome companion for your travels and adventures.
Unfortunately, the package doesn't comes with earphones. You may need to buy it separately if you want to privately hear music or if you want to listen to the FM radio as it requires an earphone as antenna to use the app.
How about connectivity? I am happy that the Flash Plus 2 has dual sim capability (micro sim and regular sim). With this, it's easier to switch from one mobile service provider to another, whichever provides the best mobile signal during my travels. More to that, it can connect to 4G LTE signals! Yey! This is definitely needed to connect to faster data signals. As someone who always wants to be connected to the internet, connectivity is very important.
The battery is also quite good at 3,000mAh. As a heavy user, Flash Plus 2's battery lasts for about 6-8 hours with continuous use of data signal to connect to the internet.
Flash Plus 2 Price in the Philippines
Sold for an affordable a price tag of Php 6,990.00 pesos for the 2GB RAM/16GB memory and Php 8,490.00 pesos for the 3GB RAM/32GB memory it comes in 2 colors such as Venus Gold and Luna Silver. The Flash Plus 2 is definitely very affordable considering its specs, features and capabilities. Indeed, a good phone that is really value-for-money!Overall, I am happy with the new Flash Plus 2. This is definitely an ideal smartphone for travelers who wants speed and reliability yet very affordable mobile phone!
