As someone who lives in Cavite, I always pass by Midas Hotel and Casino whenever I go to the City of Manila. I always thought, it is just one of those ordinary mid-range hotels along Roxas Boulevard; not until few weeks ago when we got the chance to stay overnight in one of their rooms. I was surprised! I can consider our stay as "Luxury accommodation beyond expectations."
Boasting with 225 spacious and carefully appointed guest rooms and suites, Midas Hotel and Casino is located along Roxas Boulevard which is famous for it stunning sunset. When staying at Midas Hotel guests will surely get a glimpse of Manila's iconic views and one will surely experience the fun of staying in the heart of city with business, entertainment and leisure activities just a stone's throw away.
First thing that catches your eye as you enter the hotel is the sophisticated and very welcoming lobby. I was instantly amazed with the cozy furnishings, elegant sofas, stylish decors at the hotel lobby. Adorned in contemporary style with bright Hermes orange boxes, it is surely a spot where a selfie is not prohibited. :)
We were hospitably welcomed by the hotel staff, greeted us with a warm smiles and assisted us with our booking. We actually came-in very early of the check-in time, but they processed our booking right away. It was fast and efficient. After just about 10 minutes, we were given our room's key cards. Yey! Allowing early check-in is such a warm welcome! I love it!
Executive Room
I was totally at awe when we entered the room. It's a spacious Executive Room equipped with all the much-needed amenities for a comfortable and relaxing stay. As they say, the room is their "modern adaptation of classic royal elegance." The fresh smell and the room's lovely furnishings exudes homey and relaxing ambiance. Aside from the huge space, what I love most about our room is the minimalist interiors. It doesn't have too much clutter and only the essentials and most-needed amenities are inside the room which creates a very airy and uncluttered feel.I went straight to the far end of the room where there is a floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that creates a feeling of open space. It leads to the lovely veranda which allows guests to appreciate the city scape.
Then back to the room... One could definitely find comfort at their top-of-the-line King-sized bed that is so comfy! It is complemented with a cotton bed linen, high-quality duvet and super soft pillows. I tried it right away and I felt like I was melting into the bed as I lay my back on it. Very comfortable and relaxing!
I am also was quite impressed by some of the much needed amenities equipped inside the room, like an individually-controlled air-conditioning unit, an LCD television with cable channels, an en suite toilet and bath, cabinets, safety deposit box, a sofa, telephone, an executive work desk and a mini bar.
And oh... Who wouldn't love these welcome treats?!
The toilet and bath is a bit small but it is clean and well-organized. The lavatory is separated from the toilet and bath. Inside, there's a water closet with bidet spray and bathtub with a shower featuring hot & cold rain shower with excellent water pressure.
It is also complete with toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, lotion, bath soap, vanity and dental care kits. Clean and soft hand and bath towels were also provided.
Complimentary WIFI internet connection is available anywhere in the hotel. Connection is fast and reliable. So, if you’re someone who loves to be online most of the time, you’ll certainly enjoy the hotel’s free internet access.
Executive Lounge
Every checked-in guest at the Executive Room and higher category rooms has full access to the Midas Hotel and Casino's Executive Lounge located at the 8th floor. This gives you some perks such as personalized check-in and check-out, Continental breakfast from 6:00 am to 10:30 am, all-day snacks, afternoon tea and pastries from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, sunset sessions (evening cocktails) from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm, complimentary WIFI access, complimentary in-room calls, complimentary clothes pressing (2 clothes per day/room), and complimentary one-hour use of the meeting room.

Together with friends, we had an awesome time just lounging at the comfy sofa and watching the sunset from the lounge's veranda facing Roxas Boulevard. We enjoyed our stay at the Executive Lounge that we actually stayed here most of the time just watching movies, eating and talking about just anything. It was also a great time to catch-up with my friends whom I haven't seen for quite a while.
Midas Cafe
Midas Cafe is a casual dining restaurant that offers a wide array of international and local cuisines. The breakfast buffet that comes with every booking at Midas Hotel is served at their in-house restaurant located at the 2nd floor from 6:00 am to 10:00 am.
The buffet breakfast is composed of different meat, fish, chicken and vegetables dishes to choose from. There's also a variety of pastries and fresh fruits for desserts. There's also an omelette section where you could request how your omelette should be done.
The breakfast buffet were good and we're satisfied with what we had.
