SAMPLE INDIA ITINERARY
Day1
We meet in Delhi & fly to kochi. Check into luxurious Soma Kerala Palace . Today we visit the historic town of fort kochi and a Gujarati cuisine to end our day
Day2
Morning yoga with our yoga guru. Post breakfast witness an exhilarating kalaripayattu (ancient martial arts) performance. This is followed by our first spiritual class of the trip. In the evening we view the sun setting in the backwaters, from our boats.
Day3
Our yoga progresses further. We start for Edakkal today, A 5 hour road trip to the western ghats of India. Check in to Edakkal Hermitage. Spend the evening with our spiritual guru followed by an enchanting musical performance in an open amphitheater.
Day4
Yoga amidst the forest. Post breakfast , a visit to the Edakkal Caves which are dated almost 6000 BCE. In the evening a visit to the bamboo village to witness the fine bamboo art by the skilled artisans. Day ends with a splendid cave dinner in the candle lit cave restaurant.
Day5
Progressive yoga session in the morning followed by classes on self - realisation & clarity of mind. After this we start for Thrissur , the cultural storehouse of Kerala. Visit to the age old university kalamandalam for an enthralling cultural tour of the artistic campus. A live kathakali performance in the evening. Spicy Maharashtrian cuisine to wrap it up.
Day6
We start our day with yoga and learning age old breathing techniques. Then we leave for Athirapally falls . Some leisure time under the massive Athirapally falls. Post lunch we start for Munnar, the picturesque hill station famous for its tea plantations. We check into the luxurious Tea County Resort and call it a day.
Day7
Not missing our progressive yoga session we visit a tea plantation today for some fine tea tasting & witnessing the art of tea leaves being plucked from the gardens. Post lunch we go to Mathupetty dam . Boating here in the 1700mtr high reservoir is a delight for nature lovers. All this followed by an interesting crew cooking session at night
Day8
Morning starts with Yoga. After checking out of the resort, we move to Thekkady- "the Periyar Tiger Reserve". Check in to the Bamboo Grove Eco- lodge and post lunch we go into the wild for treking. Have dinner in the huts located in the vicinity of the Jungle.
Day9
Post yoga, we move for a boat cruise in Periyar to spot wildlife. After the close brush with the animals, we move back to the Eco lodge for breakfast. After checking out, we go for a small tour to spice plantation. Know about the authentic Indian spices from inception. Post visit to plantations, our next stop is Alleppey- "Venice of the East"
Day10
Yoga in the tranquil morning at the Allepy beach. Post break fast we check in to our magnificent House Boats. We spend our day cruising through the backwaters of Kerala in our floating resorts.
Day11
We check out of our houseboats today and proceed to Kovalam , an ayurvedic retreat. We check in to the world's oldest ayurveda resort aside the Arabian sea. An ayurvedic massage awaits us here. In the evening we all dress up in traditional Indian attires and get ready for our campfire by the beach.
Day 12
The last day of our journey. We check out from the Ayurveda resort and move to Trivandram to catch our flight to New Delhi. A small token of love and gratitude awaits here!
