SCARSDALE DOUGHNUTS, "Is it really worth it?"

Scarsdale Artisanal Delights is an up-and-coming local doughnut brand that opened its first branch at SM City San Lazaro Manila. It's been getting several good reviews from foodies and their Best Chocolate Donut in Town was hailed as the "Number 1 Chocolate Donut in Manila" by spot.ph.

Just recently, they opened their 2nd branch at the Padre Faura Wing of Robinsons Place Manila. It's a kiosk-type store selling doughnuts and pasta. It has a few tables and chairs where you could enjoy some of Scarsdale's so-called "up-scale" artisanal delights.

We bought a box of Scarsdale Artisanal Delight's doughnuts. We had a variety of donuts such as Oreo Cheesecake, Red Velvet, Milk Chocolate, Macha, Sacrsdale Classic, S'mores, Coffee con Leche and their famed Best Chocolate Donut in Town.

Their donuts taste okay ("so-so lang"). I mean, it's better than other local donuts brands, but not as good as the international donut brands. For its taste, I believe it's a bit overpriced at 45-75 pesos per piece. It becomes affordable if you buy a box of 8 for 330 pesos.

Is it really worthy it? Hmmmmmm.... Let's just say that I expected too much because they say it's "upscale atisanal delight." Unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations. I think, it's overpriced for its taste that is not so memorable. But I love and I must say that you must try their Coffee Con Leche and Milk #Chocolate Doughnuts.
