2016 has been an exciting and overwhelming year for me. I got to visit a lot of new places, build new friendships, and do things I've been wanting to do. I am so happy for all the travel opportunities, new experiences, and personal accomplishments that came along my way. Before the year ends, let me say THANK YOU for being part of my awesome 2016. With this, let me share to you "10 of my Favorite Travels and Adventures this 2016."
10 of my Favorite Travels and Adventures in 2016
In no particular order...1. Romblon Island
Happened in February, this is my first out of town trip in 2016. We got to explore the island of Romblon, its lovely beaches, historical sites, eat in local/homegrown restaurants, and see how marbles are processed and turned into statues, tiles, souvenirs, among many others.

2. Zamboanga City and Malamawi Island, Basilan
We were invited by the Department of Tourism Region 9 to cover Zamboanga City's 2nd Bird Festival. During this trip, we also got to explore Zamboanga City. We visited the pink sand beach of Sta. Cruz Island, as well as its lagoon teeming with migratory birds and the old Badjao burial grounds. Also, it gave me me chance to see again most of Zamboanga City's tourist spots & attractions, and taste its local delicacies.

Since we're already in Zamboanga City, we made a side trip to Malamawi Island in Basilan. I've been to Basilan twice in the past, but this is the first time I've visited Malamawi Island. Thanks to my friends in Isabela City for taking us to this island paradise. Definitely one of the best beaches in the Philippines I've been to.
3. Moriones Festival in Boac, Marinduque
Marinduque is definitely one of my favorite holy week destinations in the Philippines. This trip is my 3rd time to witness its famed Moriones Festival. We truly enjoyed this trip!

4. Birthday in Batanes
This is my 4th time to visit Batanes.This trip is so special because I celebrated my 36th birthday in one of my favorite provinces in the Philippines. What could be better than that? Thank you to my Marfel's Lodge family and to BISUMI Tours and Services for this memorable birthday celebration.

5. Panglao Island, Bohol
This year, I visited Bohol two times. The first one was when Amorita Resort invited us for a stay in Panglao. On this trip, we visited Balicasag Island as well as experience dolphin watching. The second time was through the invitation of Henann Resort. It's a 3-day vacation full of fun, relaxation and good food with my friends at the biggest luxury resort on Panglao Island.

6. Osaka and Kyoto Japan
This is my first out of the country trip for 2016. It is through the invitation of Cebu Pacific Air for a Familiarization Tour of Osaka and Kyoto, Japan. This is my second time in Japan and I am so happy that we got to explore and discover Osaka and Kyoto Prefectures as well have a taste of Shiga Prefecture's famous Omi Beef. It's definitely one memorable trip with my fellow travel blogger friends. Thank you Cebu Pacific Air!

7. Isla Verde, Batangas
Isla Verde has been in my bucket list for quite a long time. I am so happy that I got to visit and explore the island this 2016. It was a 3-day adventure full of fun and lovely memories. We got to swim in the clear waters of Verde Island, snorkel and see the island's underwater treasures, watch the sunset, get to know the community and appreciate simple way of living. It's definitely one off-the-beaten destinations you should visit in 2017.

8. Tagaytay City
I visited Tagaytay City several times this year. These visits were through the invitation of different hotels in Tagaytay such as Taal Vista Hotel Tagaytay, Summit Ridge Hotel Tagaytay, The Lake Hotel Tagaytay, and One Tagaytay Place Hotel Suites. I am from Cavite, and I am so happy that I get to explore more of what Tagaytay City has to offer.

9. Cruise from Singapore to Malaysia
Last October, I got to experience a 4-day holiday cruise aboard Star Cruises SuperStar Gemini. We traveled from Manila to Singapore and had a wonderful cruise along Malacca Strait with onshore excursions in Penang and Langkawi, Malaysia. Indeed, it is one of the best and most memorable travel experiences I had this year. Thank you Star Cruises for this once in a lifetime experience.

10. El Nido, Palawan Adventure
Before the year ends, I finally visited El Nido, Palawan. It's been on my bucket list for the longest time. That is why, I am so happy when we got the chance to travel to El Nido earlier this month. We had an awesome island hopping adventure, eat at the local restaurants, watch the sunset, and explore some of the best spots in El Nido, Palawan. It's now one of my favorite destinations in the Philippines.
