Taal Vista Hotel Tagaytay is one of the most-regarded hotels in Tagaytay City. Its proximity from Metro Manila and its wide array of attractions and restaurants makes it a favorite weekend destination among travelers and tourists seeking for a quick weekend getaway away from the Metro. I've stayed at Taal Vista Hotel for three times already and it's definitely one of my favorite hotels in Tagaytay.
Just recently, we were back again at Taal Vista Hotel for an overnight stay to spend the Christmas holidays and to check out their newly re-opened Veranda Restaurant. Set in the manicured gardens of Taal Vista Hotel, Veranda Restaurant offers guests with not just good food but also with an unrivaled views of the iconic Taal Volcano and Taal Lake.
Upon arrival at Veranda Restaurant, I was instantly impressed with the restaurant's fresh interiors. I couldn't help but notice the nice and comfy dining area, lovely furniture, and the stylish chandeliers. Ang ganda! To showcase the restaurant's rustic history, handmade Machuca tiles were used as flooring of the restaurant. Also, the restaurant's new interiors exude light and airy ambiance which gives warm modern feel, perfect for Tagaytay's cold weather.
The restaurant has been fully renovated. It now features a new outdoor terrace with open pit fireplace, an ice cream parlor window, kids buffet and a modern bar serving a wide array of drinks.
The buffet station features really nice theater kitchens which makes it more interactive. It has several food stations with an array of comfort food, both Filipino and continental as well as heirloom dishes specially prepared by their Italian executive chef, Alessio Loddo and sous chef Jason Cabauatan.
The buffet spread is composed of the Appetizers and Salad sections, Pasta and Noodle stations, Japanese section, Grill station, Pizza station, Main Dishes section, Carving section, and Desserts station (my favorite!).
We started our buffet dinner with the appetizers and salad, followed by the pizzas and pastas, and then by the main dishes and the carving section. I specifically loved the kare-kare, the pizzas and the lechon pork belly at the carving station. Yummmm!!!
And then for my favorite part, the desserts! I tried the cakes, pastries, cookies, and fresh fruits. There are also jars of candies and cotton candy that the kids and "young at heart" will surely love.
Veranda Restaurant is open daily from 6:00 AM to 10:30 AM for Breakfast, 12:00 NN to 3:00 PM for Lunch and 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM for dinner. Lunch buffet is at PHP 1,000 from Monday to Friday and PHP 1,350 during weekends. Dinner buffet is at PHP 1,350 and is available every Friday and Saturday. The restaurant is also open for non-hotel guests. So, even if you're not checked-in at Taal Vista Hotel, you can still dine at Veranda Restaurant and savor their sumptuous dishes.
Overall, it was an satisfying gastronomic dining experience at Veranda Restaurant. I love the restaurant's fresh and lovely interiors, the food were truly awesome, freshly cooked and well-replenished. I also like that the selection of dishes are really huge that you'll have a hard time deciding where to start! Hahaha!
So, when in Tagaytay, dine at Veranda Restaurant at Taal Vista Hotel and indulge yourself on a great selection of good food! Happy eating!
