I am currently taking AB in History, hence, as a history major, we are introduced with the different cultures of the world. This course unleashed the thrilling side of me, wherein I open cultural books of the different countries, especially when I took East Asian Civilization and Modern Asia during my freshman and sophomore years. This enticed me to weight a closer attachment to the country of China. Thus, I really enjoyed this episode of Daphne, which she highlighted the city of Shanghai. Considering that I enjoyed studying the culture of China; its dynasties, political power, and both of its ancient and modern beauty, I regard this country as the ultimate destination of the year. I appreciate how their people once believed in the Mandate of Heaven. This shows how they once dealt and debated themselves from the political and religious doctrine of this cycle by tracing this history. They have many temples offered to their emperors, because that is how much they value the political hierarchy of their dominant leader. I want to see and witness their architectural temples in China eye to eye. I believe that stepping into the pavements of China would lead me to the inner history major of myself. After all, this is my passion. This country made me love even more my course and the track I chose, because they had a rich culture same as to how Philippines is refined with many historical stories.

My ultimate destination this year would be South Korea. I want to see how beautiful this country is. From the age-old traditions and culture to the new age kdrama and kpop fantacism, I wanna see how this country has evolved to be the perfect destination for tourists and travelers. Also, I want to eat authentic Korean foods like Korean BBQ! - Bill Cruz

ReplyDeleteMy ulitimate destination of the year would be our incoming out of the country trip with my bestfriend in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. Why? Because it's my first out of the country adventure, budget and time being the reason why at only 25 yrs. old am I just starting my travel adventures. Second, my bestfriend for the past 8 years will be living abroad. So, this travel will be our last bond with each other for a long time. Hopefully we would have a grand time. And lastly, this would be my ultimate destination of the year because I think this would mark as the first of many travels in and out of the country.
ReplyDeleteMy ultimate destination of the year is Kota Kinabalu ( if destiny permits). I think KK has the best of the two things I always look for whenever I travel ....the beaches and the mountain . I want to challenge myself and really push myself to the upper limits of what I could never imagine that I could conquer and that is climbing the majestic Mount Kinabalu . After that rewarding climb experience , I've heard that the beaches are also pristine and lovely, so shy not go for a relaxing beach day, eh ? :)
