I was born in 1980 and I belong to the generation of kids who would spend their weekends playing in the outdoors. I could still remember the time where me and my friends would play "hide and seek" in the dark and then watch the stars and the moon when we get tired. We even tried to count them! Hahaha! Yeah, I really missed those times.
Now that I'm 37 years old, the idea of "night life" for me hasn't really changed a lot. I don't play "hide and seek" anymore, but still, I love to spend the night in the great outdoors with my friends. As a frequent traveler, I've been to different parts of the country, from Batanes to Tawi-tawi. With this, let me share to you how I enjoyed the best night life around the Philippines with my friends as we explore the great outdoors.
The night for me would start the moment the sun sets. I really love savoring beautiful and breathtaking sunset each day. That is why whenever there is a chance that I could see the sunset, I stop for a while and take that moment to enjoy the day's sunset - wherever I may be.
There is a magical, charming feeling that makes me "fall in love with sunsets." Every sunset also gives me hope that tomorrow will be another great day and another chance on life to do good and be a better person than I am today. As the sun slowly drowns into the horizon, its rays fill the sky with radiant and vibrant hues of oranges, reds, and yellows. It always kept me mesmerized as the sun slowly disappears in the horizon like a painting done right in front of me. Truly amazing!
Someday, my dream will come true. That is to have a small house by the beach facing the west where I could relish on a beautiful sunset every single day. That's one of my life goals. I know it will happen real soon.
Another activity that I love most is spending the night just watching the moon and the stars with my friends. As someone who lives in Cavite, the stars are not that visible anymore from our home. So, whenever I travel to the provinces, I make sure that I spend time stargazing whenever I get the chance. It makes me feel relaxed and makes me realize the wonderful work of our Lord. And I am thankful for the all the blessings I received, the life that I have, that I get to see this and enjoy His creations.
Being adventurous, it also brought me and my friends to different mountains and isolated islands where we spend a night or two. For me, the best thing about hiking and camping out is when the night falls. You and your friends would spend the night eating dinner together, watch the stars and the moon, and talk about life.
Of course, these activities are best spent with friends. While enjoying these activities, you discuss anything about life, share experiences and thoughts about how magical life could be. That's the best night life anyone could ever have.
Life's too short to spend it within the safe confines of your room. Savor, enjoy, and capture each moment. Go out of your comfort zone, set free, and be one with nature! "Night Life" is best experienced and shared with a group of fun and (sometimes) crazy friends.
I encourage everyone to experience the sheer goodness of the outdoors, enjoy the fun and excitement of getting outside and what it has to offer. As the saying goes, "You Only Live Once." Enjoy it to the fullest!
