mySlim and Miss Philippines Earth 2017, "Because Beauty should flow from Fitness"

One of the best things I learned in my years of traveling around the Philippines is to appreciate nature, our country's rich natural resources, and to care for the environment. I've joined some groups in helping them promote their causes on preservation and protection of the environment. I learned a lot from them through these experiences. That is why, in my little way, I try to use my influence to promote responsible tourism and care for the environment to my readers and followers.

I am so happy that mySlim Yerba Mate Drink invited me to yesterday's #MySlimxMissEarth event held at at Luxent Hotel Quezon City. It was a "meet and greet" event with the 10 lovely candidates of the Ms. Philippines Earth 2017. I'm glad to support such event because Miss Philippines Earth is not just an ordinary beauty contest but a pageant with a purpose - which is to promote awareness for the care and for the protection of the environment.

The event was attended by the members of the media. And we were given the chance to ask the candidates some questions about their personal advocacy, their motivation in joining Ms. Philippines Earth, how they stay slim and fit, their celebrity crushes, and more.

The candidates were very confident in answering the questions and articulate as they explain their advocacy, their ways on how to take care of the environment, what they plan to do to help preserve mother nature, as well about their diet and how they stay fit despite their busy and hectic schedules. Indeed these girls are not just beautiful, but also knows very well how they can help in preserving the environment.
