CONRAD HOTEL MANILA, "One of the Finest Luxury Hotels in Manila"

Iconic, modern, and luxurious. These three words best describe Conrad Hotel Manila. Managed by Hilton as part of its Conrad Hotels brand, Conrad Hotel Manila is located along Seaside Boulevard, Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City. With its prime location, it provides easy access to a variety of shopping, dining, recreation and local attractions in the city. An upscale brand with stylish guestrooms, that provides both business and leisure travelers with a luxury hotel experience they desire, Conrad Hotel Manila is definitely one of the finest luxury hotels in Metro Manila.

Just this month, we got to experience memorable and luxurious 2-night stay at Conrad Hotel Manila. We booked a Deluxe King Room with Bay View using Traveloka App. What I love about booking with Traveloka is that, they have weekly promos which give you additional discount on hotel bookings, up to 600 pesos.

Upon arrival at the hotel, we went up to their spacious lobby and proceeded to the reception area where we were warmly welcomed by the lovely hotel staff and gladly assisted with our booking. Since our booking doesn't include breakfast, we decided to just avail it upon check-in. Buffet breakfast costs 2,200 pesos per person for 2 nights. The staff suggested that we just avail a room upgrade which costs just the same with availing breakfast for 2 persons. After thinking about it for a minute, we agreed to avail the room upgrade because it's really a good deal since it already includes the buffet breakfast and access to the executive lounge.

Checking-in was fast and efficient. After filling-in the registration form, and giving the security deposit, the key cards to our were handed to us.

Bay View King Deluxe Room

Our upgraded room is a Bay View King Deluxe Room with Executive Lounge access located at the hotel's executive floor. It's a luxurious 40-square meters guest room at the hotel's higher floor which provides guests with a commanding panoramic views of the bay and the world-famous Manila Bay sunset.

It is highlighted with a comfy king-size bed complemented with 300-thread count sheets, thick duvet, and fluffy feather pillows.

Other essential room amenities include an en suite toilet and bath, a sitting area with sofa by the window, an executive work desk, individually-controlled air conditioning unit, alarm radio, telephone, 42-inch Flat Panel HD TV with cable channels, cabinets, safety deposit box, refrigerator, and a mini bar with tea/coffee making facilities and an espresso machine.

The toilet and bath is also spacious, clean, and well-organized. It has a separate toilet and shower area with hydrotherapy hot & cold rain shower feature, as well as a spacious sink with huge mirror.


For guests' convenience and comfort, branded toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, body soap, vanity, and dental care kits were also provided.

What I love most about our room is the huge floor-to-ceiling glass window at one side of the room which affords stunning views of the bay and the sunset.

Breakfast Buffet at Brasserie on 3

Daily breakfast buffet at Conrad Hotel Manila is served at their in-house all-day dining restaurant called Brasserie on 3 from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Guests staying at the Executive Floor have the option to have breakfast at the Executive Lounge or at Brasserie on 3 located at the 3rd floor. Since we know that the buffet at Brasserie on 3 would have more selection than the breakfast buffet at the Executive Lounge, we decided to have our breakfast at Brasserie on 3.

The buffet spread at Brasserie on 3 is huge, but the selection is not as wide as I expected, like the other 5-star luxury hotels I've been to. And since we had our breakfast here for 2 days, we noticed that the dishes are almost the same each day.

My favorite sections are the breads, noodles, and beverage sections. What I like most about their breakfast buffet are the open kitchen, live cooking stations, and their menu of egg and hot meals where you could choose how you want your eggs to be cooked. I chose the classic Filipino favorite, tapsilog which comes with tender beef and perfectly done eggs.

Executive Lounge

When booked in a room with Executive Lounge access, guests can enjoy some exclusive perks such as express check-in and check-out, concierge services, complimentary breakfast buffet, refreshments throughout the day and cocktails in the early evening, as well as complimentary meeting rooms usage. Also included are complimentary late check-out until 2:00 PM, upon request and subject to availability, complimentary local calls, and light pressing service up to a maximum of three pieces of clothing per stay.

This is where we spent most of our time just enjoying afternoon tea along with some treats and early evening cocktails canapés while watching the sunset.

Other Hotel Facilities

An exciting array of hotel amenities and facilities await every guest at Conrad Hotel Manila. They have a lovely swimming pool manned by an attendant to assist every guest's needs. It has a pool bar, and comfy day beds where guests could lounge while enjoying the swimming pool.

Other hotel amenities and facilities include a spa, fitness gym, and other dining outlets such as China Blue by Jereme Leung, C Lounge, and Bru Coffee Bar.

Conrad Hotel Manila also hosts 4 event halls and two ballrooms ideal for any social or corporate events such as weddings, birthdays, meetings, conventions, among others.

Some suggestions for improvement:

• As a luxury hotel, I hope they could provide complimentary WiFi access for all checked-in guests.
• The glass windows are not clean. Regular cleaning of the windows would be nice so that guests will have a better view of the outside.
• Selection and quality of the food at the buffet breakfast need to be improved. Adding a halal section, more Filipino dishes, more pastries for desserts on the buffet spread would be awesome.
• The staff at Brasserie on 3 need to improve their customer service skills. The management should refresh or re-train the staff on excellent customer service practices that are expected in a 5-star luxury hotel.
