Looking for hotels and beach resorts in Siquijor?
The best way to visit the island of Siquijor and to enjoy its many tourist spots and attractions is to spend a night or two on the island. What's good about this tiny province located off the coast of Dumaguete City is that, it offers a wide array of accommodations to choose from. From high-end and luxurious beach resorts, to affordable mid-range hotels, and backpackers hostels, there will always be an ideal place for you to stay that will fit your budget. On our recent trip to Siquijor, we stayed for 2 nights at Adayo Cove Resort. Located in a quiet and secluded part of Barangay Tambisan in the town of Siquijor, it is a nice and cozy resort perfect for those who want a peaceful, serene, and safe accommodation when visiting Siquijor.
From Siquijor Port, we took a single motorcycle (habal-habal) going to the resort. When we arrived, the staff were very warm and accommodating and quickly assisted us with our booking. In less than 5 minutes, we were checked-in and were given the keys to our room.
Our room is a duplex room that comfortably fits 2 adults. It has a comfy queen-size bed with blankets and pillows. Other essential room amenities needed for a comfortable stay include a toilet and bath, television set with cable channels, a silent air-conditioning unit, a cabinet, and a small table with chairs.
The toilet and bath is clean and well-organized. It has clean water closet with bidet spray, a shower area with hot and cold shower feature, and a small sink with huge mirror. Basic toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner and bath gel were also provided. Bath and face towels were also provided for guests' convenience.
The room is like a small duplex house with a nice terrace in front where we spent most of our time just enjoying the quiet and serene surroundings of the resort. This is also where we enjoyed a good cup of coffee while connected to the free WiFi access of the resort. It's a good spot to connect to the internet while staying at the resort, because the connection is weak when inside the room.
Other resort amenities include a lovely swimming pool which we enjoyed a lot, a restaurant where they serve very good food from breakfast to dinner, and some open cottages with breathtaking views of the beach and the sunset.
Enjoying the swimming pool at Adayo Cove Resort. We had the pool all to ourselves! Hahaha!
Pangunan Restaurant, the resort's in-house restaurant where they also serve the complimentary breakfast.
Don't miss this spot at the back portion of the resort where you could catch beautiful sunsets.
If you wish to explore the island on your own, they also offer motorcycle rental. Just ask any of the staff on how to rent one. But if you need a tricycle and a tour guide, I highly suggest that you book it with my recommended tour guide. See the details on this Siquijor budget travel guide.
Aside from the resort's amenities and facilities, what I also love most about Adayo Cove Resort are the genuinely accommodating and helpful staff. They are local residents and really know how to take good care of their guests. We also met the owners, and they are very nice and hospitable too!

Overall, our stay at Adayo Cove Resort was pleasant and memorable. The rooms are nice, the staff were warm and friendly, and the food served at their in-house restaurant are really good. I highly recommend Adayo Cove Resort when traveling to Siquijor.
