Looking for a lovely and peaceful place to pray and to reflect near Metro Manila? The Marian Orchard is a pilgrimage site located in Brgy. Malabanan, Balete, Batangas. It is a spiritual sanctuary frequented by Marian devotees and pilgrims visiting the Province of Batangas. It is a serene oasis that promotes the Catholic religion faith and Marian devotion to further strengthen our spirituality and our connection with our creator.
This sprawling property is host to a chapel, a huge rosary, and several European-inspired gardens that will surely give every visitor a quiet time. If you plan to visit it during holy week, they also have life-size stations of the cross where you could do your reflection.
The Marian Orchard is open everyday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, including holidays. Last entry is at 5:00 PM and entrance fee is 50 pesos. Holy masses are held every first Friday of the month, Saturdays, and Sundays at 4:00 PM.
During Holy Week, the Marian Orchard opens at 6:00 AM and closes at 7:00 PM from Holy Monday to Holy Wednesday and Black Saturday and Easter Sunday. On Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, it is open from 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
How to get to Marian Orchard?
By private car, take the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and then to STAR Tollway and exit at Balete Exit. From the exit, turn right and just go straight for about 6 kilometers and you will see The Marian Orchard on your left.
By public transportation, take the bus bound for Lipa City. If the bus is taking the STAR Tollway, it will exit at Tambo Exit and will drop passengers at SM City Lipa. From SM Lipa, cross to the other side of the road and take a jeepney bound for Tanauan or Sto. Tomas. Ask the driver to drop you at Levitown or Jollibee Marawoy. At the back of Jollibee, there are jeepneys bound for Balete that will pass by The Marian Orchard. Alternatively, you may also take a tricycle to The Marian Orchard.
There are also buses bound for Lipa City that take Balete Exit. Alight at Jolibee Marawoy (Levitown) and take the jeepney or tricycle to The Marian Orchard.
Buses bound for Lipa City can be found at Buendia (Taft) in Pasay and in Cubao in Quezon City.
