If you're looking for a vacation that won't make you feel tired and exhausted, taking a cruise holiday should be on your list.
Now on our 5th day on board Star Cruises SuperStar Virgo, our ship is now sailing towards back to Manila in the Philippines. It will be a long journey as we are expected to arrive at the Port of Manila the following day. But before we finally get back home, we spent this day just enjoying the facilities and the amenities at the ship, and of course, eat! Hahaha!
If you haven't read Day 4 of our cruise experience, you may read it HERE.
We had breakfast in one of the buffet restaurants, went swimming at the 2 lovely swimming pools, had lunch at one of the inclusive restaurants, spent the afternoon visiting the shops and spending some quiet time at the library - because this is where the WiFi connection is good. Hehehe!
Then at around 5:00 PM, we were all gathered at the Grand Piazza for the Gala Cocktail Party. For the captain's gala nights, the dress code should be elegant or smart casual wear. So, dahil minsan lang naman kami mag-formal, we really prepared and made sure that we look good that night. How do I look? Hahaha!
The Gala Night is also the chance for you to meet the upper management staff of the cruise ship. The captain introduced one by one each of the senior crew and as expected there were some Filipinos who are part of it. And since most of the guests are Filipinos, you would hear load cheers whenever a Filipino crew is introduced.
There are also some performances and overflowing drinks which delighted the guests! Yey!
At around 7:00 PM, we went to the Samurai Restaurant for the Gala Dinner. We enjoyed a full-course dinner of specially-prepared Japanese dishes.
For the Gala Dinner, be sure to make table reservation prior to the event because slots are on a first-come, first-served basis. Also, I highly suggest that you dress up for the occasion as it is one of the most-awaited events on a cruise trip. Guests are advised to wear smart casual for this main event on board.
After the Gala Dinner, we rested for a while and then went to the Zodiac Theater to watch "Showtime: Mystical Land." We've been watching the shows almost every night and this is definitely one of the best! It's an awesome musical show with lots of acrobatic, magic and illusion acts from the performers - which we truly enjoyed. It's certainly a must-see show you should not miss it.
At around 10:00 PM, we went to the Beat Ship for the Star Cruises SuperStar Virgo's crew Farewell Party for the guests. The crew showcased their talents with a lovely musical performances and dance numbers that were surely enjoyed by the guests.
On our 6th day, we just spent our time going around the ship, shopping for pasulubong at the duty free shop inside the ship, fixing our bags, and resting inside our room while waiting for our ship to dock at the Port of Manila.
This is my second time to experience a cruise holiday. I must say that you have to experience it even just one in your life. And what I like most about is that I don't feel tired and exhausted after the trip. It's definitely recommended for everyone - families, senior citizens, couples, and even for kids.
Thank you Star Cruises Superstar Virgo for letting me experience again a wonderful and amazing cruise holiday from Manila to Japan and Taiwan! We will surely cherish this one-of-a-kind and memorable experience!
