Looking for nice hotels in Manila?
Located along Arellano cor. Estrada St. in Malate Manila, Hotel Benilde Maison De La Salle (or simply Hotel Benilde), is a 4-star hotel in Manila offering luxurious, warm, and friendly accommodation, ideal for business and leisure travelers. At first, I really thought it was just a laboratory for Hotel and Restaurant Management (HRM) students of DLS-College of Saint Benilde. Not until when I saw it on my Traveloka App, that realized it is indeed a hotel.
Boasting with well-appointed guestrooms and suites that are tastefully furnished and equipped with essential amenities needed for a comfortable stay, Hotel Benilde is a good place to stay if you want to explore the city of Manila. We were invited by Hotel Benilde to check out their hotel, and since we're planning to visit the newly-opened National Museum of Natural History, we decided to stayed here.
Upon entering the hotel, we were hospitably welcomed by the hotel staff and greeted us with warm smiles. I was quite impressed with how neat and well-designed the lobby is. It is small, but well-lit and organized. On one side you'll see the hotel's in-house restaurant and on the other side is a sitting area where guests could lounge while waiting to check-in.
The frontdesk staff assisted us with checking-in. Since we already have a reservation, we just gave our names and were asked for identification cards and to fill out a registration form. Checking-in was fast; it only took about 5 minutes and the key cards to our room were handed to us.
Superior Twin Room
Upon entering our room, I was impressed! It smells fresh and clean. It is a spacious Superior Twin Room equipped with cozy and modern furnishing and classy interiors with warm lighting that every guest will surely love. It has 2 single beds joined together by a small bed table. The beds were coupled with clean white sheets, thick comforters, and fluffy pillows. I quickly tried it and it's so soft and comfy!
Other essential room amenities include an en suite toilet and bath, a couch by the window, cabinets, work desk, a television set with cable channels, individually-controlled air-conditioning unit, luggage rack, safety deposit box, full size mirrors, a coffee and tea-making equipment, and a mini bar with complimentary bottled water.
The toilet and bath is also nice, spacious, and clean. There's a water closet with bidet spray, a sink with huge mirror, and a shower area with hot and cold rain shower feature. Best of all, water pressure is really good! I like!
Toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, bath soap, body lotion, dental and vanity kits were all provided. Clean and soft hand and body towels were also provided for guests' comfort. What else can I ask for? Everything we need are here!
Food & Beverage Services
Hotel Benilde has two dining outlets such as Cafe Romancon and Vatel Restaurant that will surely satisfy every guest's cravings.
Café Romancon is located at the ground floor of the hotel which serves select international dishes. This is also where complimentary breakfast is served every morning from 06:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
We also got to try some of Café Romancon's specialty dishes. For dinner, we had Cream of Mushroom Soup, Kani Mango Salad, Friesian Express, and Chicken Teriyaki.
Kani Mango Salad - mixed greens topped with shredded crabsticks, dried mango strips, crunchy vermicelli noddles, ebiko and drizzled with Japanese mango dressing.
Friesian Express - seared hanging beef tender with rosemary pan jus, served with seasonal vegetables and country style fried potato wedges.
Chicken Teriyaki - grilled boneless chicken simmered in signature teriyaki sauce served with Asian vegetables and steamed rice.
The other restaurant is located at the hotel's roof deck and it is called Vatel Restaurant. It has a more elegant, fine dining vibe and offers a panoramic view of the city.
Hotel Amenities and Facilities
An array of amazing hotel amenities and facilities await every guest at Hotel Benilde. Aside from the restaurant and the roof deck, they also have a fitness gym that is free to use for every checked-in guests, a swimming pool with a view of the city, and conference rooms ideal for any corporate or private events.
