Where to stay in Makati City?

The Poblacion area of Makati City is an emerging tourist destination among local and foreign tourists looking for a place to stay for a night or two at the heart of the city's financial district. No wonder, it is home to a wide variety of hotel accommodations - ranging from luxury hotels, to boutique, and budget hotels, as well backpackers hostels.

One of newest budget hotels in Makati City is Hop Inn Hotel Makati Avenue. Conveniently located along Makati Avenue, it is right next to the commercial and entertainment districts of Makati. Providing instant access to everything a traveler would need, it it just a few strides away to the gastronomic hub of Poblacion, to the bars and night clubs, as well as to the city's awesome shopping destinations.

Recently we stayed at Hop Inn Hotel Makati Avenue and had an amazing staycation in one of their 144 air-conditioned rooms.

Upon arrival at the hotel, we were warmly welcomed by Hop Inn Makati Avenue’s cheerful and superb professional staff and assisted us with our booking. The lobby is nice and spacious with huge windows where natural light comes in. It also have comfy chairs where guests could lounge while waiting for check-in or check-out. Since we already have a reservation, checking-in was fast and hassle-free. It only took about 5 minutes and the key cards to our room were handed to us.

As a brand of budget hotel that I am familiar with, I know already what to expect. The room is clean, spacious, and uncluttered. It has a minimalist interiors with blue and white motif. It is highlighted with a comfy queen-size bed with clean white sheets, thick comforter, and fluffy pillows.

The room also comes with essential amenities such as free high-speed WiFi internet connection, cable TV, an in-room safe, clothes hanging area with hangers, an en suite toilet and bath with hot and cold power shower, a workstation, a hair dryer, and other basic room amenities that will surely guarantee every guest with safe and comfortable stay.

I love the well-lit and clean toilet and bath that are equally spacious. Hop Inn Hotel guests are always greeted by clean guest room with fresh soft bath towels at the end of each day with the hotel's expert housekeeping team making sure all rooms are clean. The toilet and bath has a clean water closet with bidet spray, a lavatory with mirror, and a shower area with hot and cold water feature and excellent water pressure.

Getting hungry anytime of the day is not a problem. Restaurants, fast food chains, and 24-hours convenience stores are just around the corner. Even if the hotel is located just a few meters away from the many dining establishments, you may also try their restaurant called Transformer Room which serves delicious comfort food.

During our stay, we dined at the Transformer Room for breakfast. We tried their beef tapa and sausage breakfast meals paired with freshly-brewed coffee. Serving was fast, and the food were great. Perfect to start our day!

• The bed is comfortable and gave me a relaxing sleep.
• Bed sheets, comforters, pillow cases and towels all smell fresh and clean.
• Individually-operated air-conditioning unit in every room which you can adjust to your desired temperature.
• Fast and reliable internet connection anywhere in the hotel.
• They have a restaurant that serves delicious breakfast.
• Spacious and secured parking available for checked-in guests and it's absolutely free! Yey!
• Round-the-clock security and CCTV operations for guests' safety and peace of mind.
• Affordable and value-for-your-money rates.

Overall, we had a comfortable and relaxing stay at Hop Inn Hotel Makati! The rooms are nice and the staff are pleasant and very accommodating. At Hop Inn Hotel, no-frills, value-for-money accommodation does not mean poor lodging but accommodation beyond your expectations. I'm giving Hop Inn Hotel Makati Avenue my 2 thumbs-up! I recommend it for your business or leisure travels in Makati City.
